It’s with a true sense of purpose that our guest this week, Maurya Couvares, approaches everything in her life. In fact, just being in her presence makes you feel your own sense of purpose and the desire to start doing. From her time spent with Teach For America, to founding and running a nationally recognized non-profit, she’s out to change the world. ScriptEd, Maurya’s nonprofit, is working to level deep-seated socio-economic inequalities in a notoriously homogenous industry, tech. Our guest, Yulia Laricheva, started her first successful venture at age 11 and hasn’t slowed down since. Her ventures have ranged from an online publication to promote women artists, to a children’s apparel line, to a crowdfunding platform to support women and diversity-led projects. Today, as the co-founder of Fund Dreamer, she’s determined to level the playing for all aspiring entrepreneurs and to unite people through projects that will make the world better.

You can’t help but feel completely at ease in the presence of our guest Kalen Kaminski. She’s light-hearted and playful, but make no mistake–the girl knows what she wants. Kalen is the owner and designer of Upstate, a shibori dyed women’s apparel and home goods line. From her days dyeing silk scarves in her 
bathtub to opening up her studio in Brooklyn, Kalen shares how she was able to grow her creative outlet into a sustainable business, all the while staying true to her wild roots.
