The debut EP „Inch“ by Betweenness (@betweenness ) aka Jörgen Gustafsson from Jönköping (Sweden) delights us with fantastic synthesizer music that could be taken straight out of the movie Blade Runner.

In his colorful compositions, he combines fuzzy and warm textures with lyrical melodies and contemporary chord changes, still yet in a steady motion. The result is a contemplative and delicate Ambient / Electronica EP, perfect for your coming space trip to Saturn. 

In his captivating remix of „Agren“, Sau Poler ( @sau-poler ) re-directs our space trip to Detroit and creates a dreamy uptempo House version including a syncopated marching snare drum and funky Hi-Hats.

[MAGIC022] Betweenness - Agren (Sau Poler Remix)

Voltags arises from the fusion between the Brazilian performer Volatille with the German producer Gats. Synthesized songs, distorted guitars, and a Cyber/Post-Punk aura accompanied by Vola's aggressive, mocking, and sexual voice.

“Chaos Center”, the duo's debut EP, carries a cellular atmosphere of telemarketing, transmedia calls that cross and intersect in a zeitgeist Cold Turkey of the current anti-virtual “pandemusic”.

The album is also an exhibition of photographs by Brazilian visual artist and performer Nube Abe. In the remix duties, Martinelli and Zopelar bring quite different interpretations to increase the quality of the already solid release.

Y Bülbül follows his kaleidoscopic 'Fever' LP with a double dose of avant-pop mixed with spiritual awareness recorded in collaboration with award winning film maker Rose Glass.

Turkish-born, London-based musician and producer, Y (for Yiğit) Bülbül,  crafts his own contemporary avant-garde pop projections with a rich musical heritage shining through from the 1980s and 90s, creating colourful, trippy yet joyous music.

The BAFTA nominee and BIFA winner writer/director of 'Saint Maud', Rose Glass, features on spoken word, contributing to the "spiritually heightened" yet frivolous sensibility of the song.  This collaboration with Rose also led to a special and equally frivolous video, due to be shared on the day of release. 

Backed by "Confusion Dub", "Aspiration Nation" is taken from a private press, ultra limited lathe cut 7". Due for release later this week, housed in  hand-made, watercolour painted sleeves and limited to only 41 copies. Both songs will be available digitally too.



Bülbül himself describes the song as "a right laugh, the track itself and the video too (also out on 6th Aug - watch out!) - bountiful blessings to Rose Glass for teaming up with me on this one. Surrender yourself to Rose's sublime narration and let the magic rinse you inside-out and remember: When said' 41 times, a ‘Mashallah’ is guaranteed to bring good luck and fortune to the intended... Mashallah to this inter-disciplinary and inter-planetary collaboration."

In Aztec mythology, Chalchiuhtlatonal was a god of water. He looks over the sea and protects the animals living in it. It is said that he granted the gift of water to one human in 10,000 years to help look after the sea. 

He was related to Chalchiuhtlicue, goddess of running water and springs, rivers and lakes. She also was the protectress of children and new-borns, fishermen and crops. 

Some of Her many manifestations include: Acuecueyotl, "Woman Who Makes the Waves Swell," the Ocean-Goddess, invoked by women giving birth; Aticpac Calqui Cihuatl, "Woman Who Lives in the Sea;" Atlacamani "Sea Storm;" Ayauhteotl, Goddess of nighttime or early morning mist or fog, Ayopechcatl "She Who Dwells on the Back of the Tortoise," the protector of newborn children; among many others.

We went for some adventures, I expected to ride the clouds, play with some cactuses, and learn patience from the mountains but I found myself in a cozy square space, it was cozy but square. Myself and I are telling me that everything is fine, time to go back.

Our home is built on trust land, some wild creatures live around but they don't bother us. We have a wonderful view of the Sunshine and we like her, she´s pretty.

Being back home.... such a juicy feeling.

I will decorate it with our lights, those ones that we find in our belly button.
