DVS1, aka Minneapolis-raised Zak Khutoretsky, will release a new Klockworks record on the 16th of July 2014. It will be his third outing on Ben Klock's label, following acclaimed records in both 2009 and 2011.

DVS1 is not just a techno DJ or producer, when the time is right his sets will gladly diverge into other styles to take the dancefloor where he sees fit, and his studio work too. 'Black Russian' sounds DVS1 like in house mode, as dub techno-inspired piano chords repeat to infinity, floating above padded kicks and moving hi-hats. This is one of the lightest tracks released under the DVS1 alias, but it's still equipped to create blissful ecstasy when played - a favourite closing track for both DVS1 and Ben Klock.

Flip over to the B-side and it's back to Zak's usual tone of dark techno, the style exhibited on his previous two Klockworks 12"s. The eerie bleeps and haunting atmospheres of 'Creeping' evolve for seven minutes, driven along by shuffling high-end percussion. It is understated and subtly arranged as a tool, the kind of track DJs rely on to keep momentum building with energy and elegance.

'Spying' is another prime example of DVS1's take on minimalism, it is stripped-down and makes the most of the fewest possible elements. 'Spying' cropped up in Ben Klock's Fabric mix last year, and has been been a staple in his DJ sets; for good reason, it embodies the deep pulse and light/dark contrast of all Klockworks output.

2014 has already provided three stellar DVS1 releases, two on his own label Hush and this. It's all evidence that this producer's work in the studio is now on par with his exceptional talent behind the decks, quite a prospect for fans new and old.

The third release on The Magic Movement features the label's honcho Noema from Berlin. „Antipodes“ starts off with a funky bass-line, trippy bells and syncopated claps which set an psychedelic vibe from the very beginning.
On the flipside you'll find Aunti Flo's remix with a a more dubby feel of the title track.

Consistently shining a bright guiding light on the japanese scene, Radiq (aka Yoshihiro Hanno) remains one of Japans best exports and the reflection of what it means to be a true musician while managing his own japan-talent-only imprint Op.Disc with wit and will.

“Rhapsody” adds to the chameleon’s release catalog a 4-tracker of deep musicality, expansive 4x4 examinations and textured realms that ebb and flow between dance-focused sonatas and the kaleidoscopic intimate travels, and ultimately begging a listen all the way through. The title track ‘Rhapsody’ (A) is Yoshihiro‘s signature exploration of humanized rhyrhms, crisp claps and deep low-ends that ebb and flow with a very peculiar organic steadiness. “Circulatory Breathes” (B) uses micro-house patterns as starting point to build something more intricate where robotic movements remain constantly intertwined with amoebic perc-samples, vocal snippets, groove swings and jazzy synths. Clocking at 14 minutes, the dreamy and deeply absorbing “Antigone” (C) is the EP’s longest work, and a true hypnotic anthem that works like a musical vortex. Radiq’s artistic indulgence culminates with “Sad Strings” (D), the EP’s jazziest exploration around heavy drum programming and dramatic mood shifts.

The double EP was visually interpreted by Max Binski in a heavily textured acrylic painting, giving this release the visual perk Pluie/Noir collectors grew accustomed to. Limited Pressings."

Alex Niggemann’s forward thinking label Aeon recently celebrated five years at the forefront of cutting edge music.
To k​ick off 2019, Kincaid makes his debut on the label: the EP is the first in a string of exceptional music to come this year.

The four track EP kicks off in style with ​On The Back Of A Serpent​. An Italo-tinged number with Kincaid's trademark live sounding drum programming. It’s an instant club rocker with trippy vocal snippets that draw the listener into an ethereal, spine tingling breakdown. ​Stare Into My Monstera begins with a driving groove and dissonant Rhodes, building subtly but relentlessly towards a euphoric Nord lead motif which reappears throughout. A track that will undoubtedly find favour with the discerning Burner crowd. ​Papoose starts with middle eastern influenced sounds and insistent Timpani accents, before locking into a groove which hypnotises and intrigues in equal measure. Finally ​It Said (feat. Sinàl) is a darker affair featuring the sinister vocals of both Kincaid and Sinàl themselves.
