The trailblazing Turkish world-electronic trio are gearing up towards their fourth album and their new single is sure to send bass rippling through the earth like Jurassic Park.

‘Simple Man’ will drop August 25, a smoky tribal banger reminiscent of the group’s biggest hits. Demonic bass, spine-tingling percussion and snake charmer melodics spark off each other in a dubby, cheeky, rioutus space theatre.

This is the second single off the forthcoming album Popsicle Obstacle, to be released in October on Music for Dreams. The album was recorded during the band’s visit to Copenhagen in the spring and will see the trio further their experiments into the borderlands of dubby electronica, space-pop and acoustic musical traditions from around the globe.

"Animal Empire" an afro inspired jungle techno swing with a dubby melody and hypnotizing bells while the driving bass-line enhances the macumba vibe. For those affected by swirling sonics beware the vertiginous breakdown, where all seems lost for a brief moment of madness.
Flip the record and hear the sound of Aztec Acid Disco on the “Rise”. With a lot of love for the detail, flute, percussive guitar and shamanic vocals get you into the groove. After a little hang out with the local jaguar warriors the 303 soars up for a flight over the pyramids, until an elevating melody takes this intense beast right into the glowing morning sun.
On the remix mountain Von party glares back into the light from atop his DMT peak and creates a dubby, stripped down, percussion frenzy, that will turn any forest floor upside down.

What are you waiting for? Go on, jump in. The water is warm and a liquid paradise awaits. The poolside was a place of elegant sophistication, ladies watched hazily from loungers as gentlemen swam beaneath the lush blue ripples. Over by the bar the music could be heard pouring from small monitors, it echoed blissfully through the open air and travelled beyond the walls of the palace. All is well for what lies within but over the wall, a perilous plague had began to unfold. They remained happily ignorant inside the palace whilst the world fell to turmoil. 

Red Axes have developed a notoriety unlike few others. In recent years they have powered through the ranks releasing music on the likes of Permanent Vacation, Crosstown Rebels and more. They have amassed quite the reputation. Now they are joined by friends from far and wide on a remix EP for Thomas Von Party's Multi Culti label. With this in mind, we took Ecuadorian sound-seer Nicola Cruz’s latest audiovisions and refracted them through the minds of some of the world’s hottest young cultural interpreters. To provide you with the best possible approximation of what the results feel like, we then sent an intern to loiter outside a local Heart-Opening Ceremony to get people’s unfiltered reactions just moments after they awakened to their new place in the universal order.
