The trailblazing Turkish world-electronic trio are gearing up towards their fourth album and their new single is sure to send bass rippling through the earth like Jurassic Park.

‘Simple Man’ will drop August 25, a smoky tribal banger reminiscent of the group’s biggest hits. Demonic bass, spine-tingling percussion and snake charmer melodics spark off each other in a dubby, cheeky, rioutus space theatre.

This is the second single off the forthcoming album Popsicle Obstacle, to be released in October on Music for Dreams. The album was recorded during the band’s visit to Copenhagen in the spring and will see the trio further their experiments into the borderlands of dubby electronica, space-pop and acoustic musical traditions from around the globe.

We’re excited to announce Mehmet Aslan as the fourth artist to remix Noema's recently released album, ONE. Mehmet Aslan’s remix is filled with rhythmic textures, playful melodies, and funky electro breakbeats. 

In a world of crate diggers, willfully eclectic selectors and micro-scene experts, few DJs and producers maintain the curiosity, bulletproof taste and unique identity of Mehmet Aslan. Born to Turkish immigrant parents and raised in Basel, Switzerland, a childhood absorbing Turkish music was only the beginning of an esoteric trip down a rabbit hole of fascinating, often unusual music, enrapturing dancefloors with his own record collection alongside his own, equally varied productions.

Noema's ONE is part of an interactive performance installation consisting of music, interactive choreography and stage design, theater, costumes and remixes. In this Gesamtkunstwerk, Noema, tells the story of his interdimensional space explorations, in which he manifests in four different entities. Because of the energetic state of humanity, these entities became trapped in our dimension and now put on performances to re-power their portal, so we can all be interdimensional again! During the performance five actors invite up to 120 people from the audience to join the action. Sun Ra meets Steve Reich meets Larry Levan - imagine it like a “happening” from the 70s.The performance was premiered as the closing act of Garbicz Festival 2022.

The music from One is loosely based on the minimal music classic „In C“ by Terry Riley and consists of 56 melodic patterns, which are repeated and consecutively played from the first to the last. Every player can move on to the next pattern at their own pace. The piece is about 45 minutes long without a break.

Gats, also known as Voltags, Changa Boys, ghostandthesong, Solarbaby, Lagoon, and Gates, is a producer, DJ, and performer based in Berlin, Germany. His music is a unique blend of psychedelic
dance music with references to different kinds of micro-genres from the past 60 years. Embracing a boundless approach to sample exploration, with an eye on both the analog and digital world, Gates'
work expresses the freedom of eclecticism.

Khalil Mounji is a Gnawa musician and community activist who blends tradition and modernity to create a unique style. He founded Gnaoua Culture, an organization that uses technology to promote
and preserve Gnawa heritage through music and education. 
He is dedicated to sharing the richness of Gnawa culture with the world.
