Poetry is helping me navigate the aftermath of my trauma, my lived-experiences of sexual assault, abuse and harassment, and those early years of conflict and disharmony within the home. I am in a healing mindset. Each poem I share is me letting go of some of the pain I carried with me for so long. I struggle to talk and connect to people freely in real life, but poetry gives me a voice. My voice. One that is soft, vulnerable, feminine, and (I’d like to think) courageous.
