I stood on the edge, shadows closing in,
Carried the weight of all that might have been.
A spark in my hand, too tired to fight,
I let it fall, and watched the night ignite.

Smoke rising, painting the sky,
A funeral pyre for the years gone by.
No turning back, no second chance,
This is the end of the final dance.

Burned bridges light the night, but leave no way back,
Every spark a memory, every step a crack.
The fire roars, the past erased,
In the ashes, I find my place.

Each flame a truth, each ember a lie,
I thought I’d feel free, but I just wonder why.
The heat on my face, the cold in my chest,
I’m still running, though I swore I’d rest.
