TM004 comes from one of our original artists who makes music under the name Snorlax. Ever since day one, Snorlax's enigmatic songs have left us delirious in trying to pin them down to one genre, or even comprehend how he does what he does. On his debut single for The Melt, Snorlax dials into his proto-junglist/drum n bass influences and concocts two songs that keep us guessing all the way through. His unpredictable song structure coupled with his badman-like ability to lay down tough intricate percussion have resulted into something that showcases a true talent. Doing his thing and not being afraid to hide it.

Sagrada Remixes is a collection of five commissioned remixes and edits and a companion to Sagrada, the recently released sophomore LP by Anenon.

Underground cult legend James Pants brings a tripped out tribal stomp meets Lynchian vibe to his "Shibaura" remix while enigmatic Japanese producer Bun takes a microscope to "Lithograph," honing in on the finest granules of vinyl cracks with an ambient leaning rework. D Tiberio turns "Aurora" into essential night bus listening. Afterhours and Gossamer contribute uptempo edits of "The Color White" and "Sagrada" respectively, each bringing extra thump and dance floor utility to the already heady and heavy mixes.

Have you ever found yourself confronted with the eternally annoying phrase 'it's not what you said, it's how you said it' flying into your face from a loved one? There's not quite any right way of dealing with these words, the only way to fix this sort of situation cropping up with worrying regularity is by adjusting your tone. 

We all know how crucial tone can be in the sounds we hear when it comes to mixes and the like but few of us give enough time to consider the implications of tone in every last word we say. We'd all get along plenty better if everyone had such a good sense of 'Tone' as Brown Irvin does. Ladies and gentlemen, this is how it's done...

Lil Silva - Mask

Following the success of his recent Kompakt single "Somewhere," John Tejada returns to his own Palette Recordings imprint with "Anaphora." After a series of collaborative projects with fellow artists, Tejada distinguishes "Anaphora" as his first solo release on Palette since 2009 and presents a double headliner of his trademark musicality and driving rhythms, delivering a set of two eruptive grooves with a focus that has earned Tejada the respect of both listeners and peers alike.
"Anaphora" continues where John's 2006 smash "The End Of It All" left off, showcasing Tejada's trademark use of hopeful melodies and emotive sequences. It highlights his undeniable quality of crafting arrangements that rise above monotony.
Continuing where Tejada's "Mono On Mono" and "Eurotunnel" left off, "Bode's law" explores a darker, more driving side of the two songs. Furious analog synths and drums orbit each other in syncopation to create an engaging rhythm that is hypnotic and inspiring.

01 Anaphora

"Snakebite" is the second track on Visionist's upcoming "Snakes" EP on Leisure System Records

The newest release on Leisure System Records comes from Visionist, whose productions have been omnipresent in the London underground since debuting in 2011 despite a sparse release schedule. With records on Big Dada, Signal Life, 92 Points, and a recent feature on Kode9's Rinse CD, Visionist stitches together heady influences while maintaining an obvious devotion to grime. This 3-tracker on Leisure System is some of his strongest work to date, with starry breaks, jittery gunplay, and belching smokestacks accompanying Visionist's journey from the tunnels of South London to the belly of Berghain. 

The "Snakes" EP will be officially released July 22nd, 2013
