The Business Buzz' Mentorship Match-Up is proud to unveil its first Mentor "Ms Lynette Ntuli"

Lynette is the founding director and chief executive officer of the property, asset and infrastructure development and solutions firm; Innate Investment Solutions (Pty) Ltd. She has been well profiled for her executive positions, amongst them becoming the first black woman in South Africa to become GM of a super-regional shopping centre (The Pavilion) and CEO of the Durban Business Enhancement Initiative. 

An entrepreneur and humanitarian at heart- Lynette is actively involved at an executive and member level within various organisations in South Africa, a nationally and internationally recognised professional business speaker and a World Economic Forum Global Shaper and Founding Curator of a South African hub.

Speaking to the August Issue of Destiny Mag, Lynette shared “Because I was mentored, I find it hard to ignore other young entrepreneurs needing help. My own life has been charmed in many ways, not only because I worked hard or went after specific goals, but because so many people along the way believed in me.”

The young female entrepreneur continues to help shape the course of many young people in South Africa through Ignite SA, which she co-founded to mobilise young and established leaders in the country towards active citizenry through dialogue and programmes on socio economic, business, leadership and educational matters. A huge Inspiration!

THE MENTORSHIP MATCH - UP - MENTOR #01 (LYNETTE NTULI)

Dr. Malebo Maponyane is a qualified medical doctor with over 14 years of experience as a medical practitioner. 
She holds a postgraduate diploma in public health and other post graduate qualifications.

Dr Maponyane has worked extensively in the region (Southern Africa) in the areas of HIV services since 2004. She led the implementation of ART programs, male circumcision, community-based counseling and testing, male involvement, PMTCT, and TB projects in Eastern Cape, KwaZulu Natal, Limpopo and other regions of South Africa. She managed HIV treatment scale-up and integration of services for the South African Catholic Bishops Conference (2004-2006) in 22 sites including Swaziland and Botswana locations.
Dr. Malebo has also worked for the WITS Health Consortium (2006-2008) in reproductive health and HIV services covering the North West Province of South Africa.  At WITS, she provided training and technical support to 7 hospitals on integration of HIV, RH and other services. She brings over 20 years’ experience in public health. Her most recent experience involves managing the Catholic Medical Mission Board’s South Africa Office as Country Director and Principal Investigator (2008-2014). The Global Fund, CDC, USAID, and corporate grants funded CMMB’s projects in South Africa.
In most of her roles, Malebo has focused on training and equipping FBO and Ministry of Health facilities, as well as community-based partners, in the delivery of essential services.  She has recently (2013) consulted with the ministry of health in Lesotho under a contract with EDC on the improvement of primary healthcare facilities in the country and is currently providing technical support to Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation as a private public health consultant. She speaks English and five other regional languages.

Dr Maponyane feels it is important to cultivate young leaders in the medical profession.Thus, mentorship is key.

THE MENTORSHIP MATCH - UP - MENTOR #02 (DR MALEBO MAPONYANE)

Sibonile Dube has over 15 years of experience working in Corporate Communications. She has held various positions within multinational companies in diverse industries amongst them Ford Motor Company and Nokia. Her knowledge of the African markets was gained during her tenure at Blue Financial Services where she was in charge of the Public Relations and Communications portfolio of 14 countries for the Micro-Finance Institution.

She has a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Sociology, a National Diploma in Journalism and is studying towards a Master of Management in Strategic Marketing at Wits Business School.

At Unilever, Sibonile is responsible for leading the company in the delivery of an effective Communications strategy in South Africa and the Southern African region countries of Malawi,Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Previous to Unilever, Sibonile worked for a German specialty chemicals company, LANXESSAG, where she was Head of Corporate Communications for South Africa.

THE MENTORSHIP MATCH - UP - MENTOR #03 (SIBONILE DUBE)

The Business Buzz has launched a campaign called The Mentorship Match-Up.

The campaign is aimed at matching young female mentees to mentors who are pioneering in various fields and industries. 

The campaign will see us tell amazing and inspirational stories chronicling the journeys and lives of five extraordinary women who, through hard work and determination, have made serious strides within their respective industries. 

Mentorship is one of the most important steps to a successful career; it opens doors to new networks, collaboration, and opportunities. It is an effective support system for meeting challenges that professionals face in common or that affect certain demographic groups in particular; for instance, the obstacles to career growth that women commonly face in corporate and professional environments or issues faced by less privileged youth in South Africa.
