The Sultry Heathens are a Brooklyn-based band composed of Calvin McCormick, his brother Owen McCormick and Andrew Echeverria. They met at Saint Ann's School in Brooklyn Heights but formed while studying abroad in Beijing, China. The power-trio's sound derives from a broad range of influences and their music could be classified as indie, pop, alternative or simply straight rock-n-roll. Their debut album was recorded and produced by Olive Juice Records in New York, New York by Matt Roth and Sam Lazzara.
