This song is for the late Spencer Chakedis as well as the late Katie Myers, both sorely missed, both geniuses, both irreplaceable and both people I find myself wanting to speak to and can't anymore.

Unfinished Business (01.24.23)

One of the last tunes I tracked with the great Spencer Chakedis. I'm so bitter he's gone, but I hope this song captures his innate joy. The lyrics were written one day after I learned about his death and I hope they summarize how I feel about him, and life and death generally, for that matter.

This is song featuring guitar by the late and great Spencer Chakedis which is about an overworked young female associate at a law firm who decides to fake her own death and go freedom fight in the jungle somewhere.

This song is about aging, not gracefully. Big credit on guitar goes to two separate geniuses: Bryan Pocius, and the late Spencer Chakedis. Maybe some day another mix of this tune may come, but it's close to "done" for now. I wrote this song when a hardline anti-immigrant position was just one strand of American political thought, limited to voices like Tom Tancredo, not the dominant strand of American political life.  It seems appropriate to upload it to SoundCloud now.

Deport Them All

This is a work in progress I hope you cats dig. The vocals are pretty out of tune, but they'll be replaced someday by REAL vocals, probably by real background singers. In the meantime, I'm pretty stoked on this tune simply because I haven't really thought about background vocals, let alone written any, in years. Hope you dig it.

Circle the Wagons 01-18-12

Another work of progress. This is an idea for a tune that I had about 15 years ago now, but I never wrote it. Finally got around to it - hope you dig it. It's about the gold that the Nazis plundered that ended up in (primarily Swiss) banks, which the banks refused to track and turn over to the original owners. At least, that's the ostensible subject. It's really about man's quivering and pathetic cries for attention, like 43% of the songs I write. Enjoy!
