The Moats are a 4-piece rock outfit hailing from Eastern Pennsylvania. Their style is a mix of Hard Rock, Synth Pop, Reggae, and Jazz/Funk Fusion. Some of their influences come from bands such as The Cars, Men at Work, Soundgarden, Yes, Steely Dan and Led Zeppelin. The Moats consist of 4 high school friends who started to play music together at age 14. Over the years and even through times of separation, they continued to play and write music together. The Moats initiative and hard work have gained them performances at local bars, participation in the Emergenza Festival and 2 successful self-produced albums. Their last performance was in 2010 at Headquarters/Section 9 Studios.  They have all since invested their time in other musical and business endeavors, but when called upon, can reassemble like the great and mighty Voltron.
