BIO:

The Moles formed in the summer of 2008 in Varese, consisting in guitarist Francesco Colombo, bassist Antonio Montecucco and drummer Francesco Farinelli. The trio’s music, now energetic and attractive, now atmospheric, is prevalently funk-rock oriented, and soul-jazz veined. They perform their own songs with both English and Italian lyrics, and some rearranged covers. They have an intense live activity. In 2009 they record their first EP named “The Moles. What? The Moles!”, at Niccolò Maggio’s Feeling Music Studio in Varese. In the summer of the same year they decide to take a temporary break, that they interrupt in the spring of 2011 with Massimiliano Salina on drums. After a few months, Antonio Montecucco decides to continue his musical experience in England, and bassist Cesco Marchese takes his place.
With this line-up they continue their intense live activity, and in 2012 they record their second EP “Point Of View”. 
Their passion for black music, for great melodies, without neglecting modern elements, and the opening of improvised spaces – a firm point of The Moles’ live exhibitions – give life to a fascinating and strong mixture.
