Hailing from the southside of Glasgow, The Morra are a representation of all a tourist from Iceland might associate with Glasgow!                                                   
Scarred with beauty, a loud depth of a foursome bound by ties stronger than that which the local madam uses in her custom dungeon.... presumably at a guess! The Line Up : Dominic Gill: lyrical visualist; guitar. Roddie McGrath: PhD in Bass; backing vox. Brenni Gill: sweat-inducer of the six string; backing vox; hair model; Jamie McGrath: percussion; sticks for arms, and a drum-beat where his heart-beat should be. Standard instrumentation is the foundation, but there is a mixture of elements in the form of keys, synths, harmony and percussion! These simple instruments, and often under-used by those of lesser musical dispositions, have evolved The Morra's ever-increasing song catalogue and the momentum carries the band forward at even greater speeds. Favorite past times of the morra are: 1/ Breaking things; 2/ Getting chases; 3/ Being blinded by lights; 4/ Developing health problems through abuse; 5/ Loving and hating each other equally at opposite times; It is a testament and strong belief of The Morra that everything progress in a progressively psychedelic push for truth. Split from moderate projects from past times, the fusion of trad folk, through smoky jazz electronics in to the realms of a band with an "edge” with a conscience and a doubt. Punching about the weight of any presumed pigeon hole. This band is all about sensations and sentiments. Style is most often sacrificed for substance and this can confuse people when talking about The Morra as there are equal proportions of both of these things and steam tends to pour from people's ears before they melt on observing!
