When Violence is the Only Noble Life is a song written in the summer 2012 and recorded in December 2012.  In the spring of 2013, I had a talented friend Mitch Bierer paint a piece to coincide with my song which turned out exceptional. The piece is depicting one of the lowest forms of humanity, which is that of an innocent child under the age of 15 using a powerfully deadly weapon. This happens across the world, not just in Africa, but in Africa is where it is most prevalent. Using children as soldiers has been occurring for centuries, but 14+ years into the 21st century it continues. No child on this Earth should have to go through such a violent, dangerous, and heinous upbringing.  The Earth is riddled with violence.

This track was written at the beginning of 2015 and quickly recorded for a Winter release.  This song is about making an effort to find love in a world filled with hate, greed and violence.

The song is about the rapidly accelerating global climate and homelessness crisis which are interlinked and two of the greatest issues humanity faces. Even those at the very top of society will be impacted, albeit a minor impact to them, the rest of society, especially the lower classes are and will continue to suffer greatly. There is a massive shortage of affordable housing while homes are being destroyed by worsening floods, mudslides, wildfires, tornados, typhoons, and hurricanes.

It's not fearmongering, this is reality, and it's getting worse each year. My hope is to spread awareness and change within our society as the way we currently live isn't sustainable. Right now, societies are upside down.

Societies Upside Down

New Seeds is the brainchild of Brian Florian and originated in the St. Louis area in the summer of 2013. After a few years of working with musicians Matthew Wahlman, Chris Batty, Thomas Bales, Christopher Moonier and Michael Ferrante, the self-produced LP, Transcending Days, was released on Earth Day, April 22, 2016.  Brian moved to Seattle and after a three year hiatus he met musician David Gryder who helped inspire him to get back into writing songs. The first song, Societies Upside Down, is co-produced by David who programmed the drums, plays bass and sings backing vocals along with Brian on guitars and lead vocals with a release date set for December 4th, 2020.
