Revolution: The Remixes of Stephan Nero is a radical reinterpretation of the original Revolution EP by Berlin-based electronic composer Stephan Nero. Reconstructed by The New Ways, this remix album is not a companion piece—it’s a sonic uprising. The New Ways dissects and reassembles Nero’s politically charged material through a cinematic lens, fusing experimental techno, fragmented rhythms, and ghostly atmospherics into something that feels urgent, future-forward, and defiantly unclassifiable. This album reflects the remixes created between 2010-2020.

Where Nero’s original compositions were raw, poetic, and minimalist in spirit, The New Ways leans into maximal contrast: bass-heavy pressure meets ambient breakdowns, metallic noise merges with gospel-tinged vocal samples, and industrial grooves are pulled into lush, dissociative reveries. The result is a remix album that feels like an entirely new artistic statement—haunted by revolution, but dancing in the ruins.

About the Artists

The New Ways is the musical alias of multidisciplinary producer and sound artist Shelbric A. Fuller, based in Berlin. Known for a style often described as “post-genre,” The New Ways blends techno, soul, industrial noise, and political commentary into emotionally charged electronic compositions. Fuller is also the host of The New Ways Podcast, a cultural platform that explores futurism, art, and identity across mediums.

Stephan Nero is a reclusive composer and sound thinker who works at the intersection of electronic minimalism and sociopolitical abstraction. With releases exploring themes of surveillance, resistance, and decay, Nero’s work often blurs the line between music and protest, performance and theory. 

Both live in Berlin, Germany.

Future Films is the moniker of Barcelona-based electronic producer, Jesus Martinez. Future Films has a distinct post contemporary sound which incorporates ambient synths, moody textures, and evocative sounds.

After watching to many news reports about the current actions being taken by the USA government against its own citizens, this just somehow came out of me and matches how I see the overall political and social mood. 

The distortion, the slightly asynchronous beat and the overcompression are deliberate and serves as a metaphor supporting the above stated concept behind the song.
