This is a work in progress from the band "Machines of War."  We've decided to re-name ourselves, but we haven't figured out the right name yet.  So, we're still "Machines of War" for now.

For my solo, I'm using a Carvin guitar and a Fractal Audio Axe-FX Ultra (Filter, Compressor, Recto Red Model, Stereo Delay, and Reverb) with an Ownhammer IR (Mesa Boogie 4X12 with a Shure 57).  I'm using a Fender cable, and my audio interface is an Apogee Duet 2.  My DAW is Logic Pro X.

Matt's rhythm tracks was recorded using a Schecter 7 String equipped with EMG Pickups.  He's using a noise gate, Maxon  pedal, Orange Micro Terror, and a 2X12 cabinet equipped with top-of-the-line Eminence Speakers mic'd with a Shure 57 going into a Mackie Mixer.  He's using a Dean bass guitar and an Axe-FX Standard for the bass track.  Matt is using an EMU 1212m for his audio interface and using Sonar for his DAW.

The drum tracks are using Superior Drummer 2.0 by Toontrack.  The drum programming was done by Matt, and the arrangement of the composition was done by both of us.

This particular version was mixed and mastered by me.  I primarily used some channel EQ during the mixing stage, and used EZ Mix 2 for the mastering stage.

Break Neck Acceleration

This is a backing track in the key of E Minor.  Improvise over this progression using the minor pentatonic scale, blues scale, or various minor diatonic modes.
