Grumpy pres Persons Of Interest 0001……Stimming

Its was a little over a year ago that Dexter Ford's Our Sun was released on the summer 2012 edition of Deop. Never in our wildest dreams did we think that this track would be a song that was Championed and played all over the planet by Richie Hawtin, causing the masses the break out into pure euphoria. It not only put the label deep on the map so to speak but it earned Dexter Ford an informal titled validated by Richie as Breakthrough producer of the year. 

Fast Forward 6 months, February 2013. when we decided to thrown a WMC 2013 sampler consisting of what some of our favorite label picks from inception to date. Of Course, Dexter's Our Sun was yet again front and center and was played out in many events during the conference this year such as Circo Loco's massive pool party shindig which once again put the crowd into a massive state of euphoria as it did 6 months prior. It was then we had decided to compile a remix release to be released this 2013 summer.

Fast Forward yet again another 6 months and we are here ready to drop you the final result what we expect to be one of the hard hitting singles for this season.

'Our Sun Remixes' is the result of the compiling of four remix productions from some of the artist this label holds in extreme high regard and thought their contribution would heighten up what in our opinion is a deep house masterpiece.

First we find two remixes coming from the ladies behind 'Shoes, Bags & Boys' imprint, whom we have been following and supporting consistently for the past few years, with their always innovative, elegant, classy and outright flawless  productions. Two remixes; one by the hands of Ariane Blank melodic and soothing, while a second one by the production trio of ChixUnighted (Ariane Blank, Albena Flores & Indira Boka) more groove oriented.

A Third Remix sublime, epic, full of life is delivered by non other then Shawn Rubens, a producer whom should be no stranger to anyone whom have been familiar with the Liquid Label family. Known for channeling his emotions into seamless productions that are quite intricate and has you make an instant connection to his psyche, Shawn yet again connect deeply to all that are fans of his work with his rendition.

Last but not least, we had to get the man himself, Dexter Ford to participate and deliver a remix of epic proportions which can be seen as the long awaited second part to the master piece he created a little more then a year ago.

Liquid Grooves has been always focus on exposing and developing those new upend coming producer whom compose and produce such quality of electronic music, more specifically Progresive House that can stand up to any of the well established artist now a days.

This is true in our next release, a labor of love and passion by this relatively new Argentinean producer Charles Swara entitled 'Obstructions'  Charles, Guitarist himself, and quite the talented and versed one to say the leased, like many in his country finds an affinity to the electronic sounds that abound in his native Buenos Aires. Taking his musical background and knowledge as well as passion toward progressive house, starts composing intelligent and intricate productions that literally blew our minds, making it a no brannier when deciding on welcoming him to our fold.

Charles Swara is no doubt a name to look out for in this 2014 as we expect quite big things for this young Argentine producer

Grumpy - Liquid Moments 052 [Jan 16, 2014] on DI.FM & Pure.FM

Here is the remix of the track Lopazz & Casio Casino did for Along Mekong Production in Heidenberg, a team of filmmakers and close friends to the production duo. Later asked by Ableton to put together a pack using the recordings of that project for a feature...I just thought that the elements in this track were quite mesmerizing and decided to make my take of this amazing piece of music, which they entitled The Drift.

My take, Grumpy's Mellow Drifting Remix, while its still catering to the dance community and its a bit more upbeat in nature, i tried to respect and maintain some of its original vibe, the result a rendition both for easy listening of for those Deep House Heads, hope I did it justice...ENJOY!

Symmetry is one of the productions this label was quite proud on getting its hands on by the incredibly talented Matias Chilano.  In our search for those timeless gems in our back catalog, we deem it fitting to revitalize this successful release by our imprint with new takes and concepts by some of the latest names causing ripples in the progressive house scene.

For that we have recruited the equally talented styles of three producers whom have been in the forefront of shaping the sounds that we currently come to recognize as progressive house.

Starting with Spanish national, Erreome, he delivers a soothing melodic techno version that is captivating in every sense of the work with a beautiful soundscape of melodies layered on top of a subtle yet effective bass line.

Haling from Hungary, we find Fiddler, a name that is associated with complex harmonies weaved with a some bright time based effects accounting for an emotive version reminiscent of the glory days where progressive drove the dance floor crowds into euphoric frenzy.

Finally Argentinean power house John Cosani, who take on the deep side of the progressive house genre in playfully layering airy pads, effected percussion elements, and a bright harmonic contact adding depth and contrast to this exquisite rendition.

Piyush Awasthi is the name of the artist the following in line to some of the most mesmerizing releases we have in store for you in the subsequent months to come. It is a release that follows a line of successful releases on some of the most respected and prestigious progressive house labels to date, and we are thinned to bring to you his official Debut By the name of "Saints"

The Original Version showcases a beautiful arrangement of some layered poly synths with a ever present, addictive and driving bass line which is just shy of perfection in terms of melodic structure balance for both the dance floor or your car stereo. its the Perfect track to bring you into a Rapture, or Dancing Frenzy which will make you wanna dance, dance, dance. 

On remix duties we find this time two new comers to the imprint as well, hailing from the capital of one of the worlds Progressive House Mecca's, Buenos Aires, we find non other then Jonatan Ramonda, a producer who has been in constant exploration of how to syncopate and bring balance to fusion the old school progressive sounds with the new age progressive take melodic arrangement while still adding a unique anew flare which we find when he incorporates some unique effects into his melodic structure to tie all this quite seamlessly into a masterpiece as only he can deliver.

Last but not least, Also from this Progressive House Mecca we welcome non other then Sun H, a person who really does not need much introduction with his unique sounds of Minimal/Techno incorporated and perfected into a New Age Progressive Tech House, adding a perfect contract that shows the how far this ever evolving genre can be taken.

Our next release, this time by Colombian up-and-comer David Duque whom debuts on our growing imprint with the release by the name of "Wind Master." This young producer came to us with the original by the same name as the release, which is a well balanced progressive production showcasing a very intricate melody structure where he uses some very soft synth and airy pads,  while managing to add a very groovy, and addictive bass line responsible for the over all drive of the tune, fitting for any occasion presented on the dancefloor.

On remix duties, we find non other then Lateral Cut Groove who deliver his signature style with a heavy pumping baseline and a solid forward marching melody with the use of some string arrangement and airy pads creating a higher then life rendition.

Scotty.A, a UK native, tones it a bit down with a much deeper rendition incorporating some exquisite percussion elements and maintaining a steady progression with his melody structure perfect to end the night properly.

All in all a very versatile release which has something special for any progressive lover out there looking to have something new in his/her arsenal.

Guest House is the result of both of their innate passion for intricate layering of synths giving them a deep, dark and emotive feel to both original in this pack.  "Guest House," the song sharing the same name as the release, is a very laid back, mellow production with a strong bass line driving this production all through out, perfect for a transition or break in a live performance.  "Spirit" a brighter, soothing, more emotive production centered on its unique layering of synth & pads.

On remix duties we welcome the production duo of Audiotox & Overtone Watson whom deliver a forward marching Tchier version of Guest House intended for that big moment on the dance floor, while Neftali Blasko, yet another debut, delights us with a progressive tech version of Spirit showcasing a very bottom heavy arrangement both effective and addictive.

Its a Deep House Single, which includes to magnificent originals where we find the use of saxophones both in supporting rolls and as lead elements, hence the name of this release……'Its A Sax Thing'

'Sax In Urban Garin' the A-side in this release is a groove driven production where you find a sax arrangement in perfect syncopation with the bass line and percussion arrangement as 'centerpiece' of this production.

'Son Of The Sax' the B-side is a more emotive, soothing & laid back production with a strong bass line, a subtle percussion arrangement, mellow layering of melodies by synth & airy pads, box bits and accents of sax hits to add warmth the arrangement.

It is no secret that this following artist has been causing some ripples in the progressive ocean, jumping in the forefront of some innovative productions in his genre and earning him some well deserved recognition in the industry by some of the biggest movers and shakers in the progressive house and progressive tech genre. We are talking about non other then Tvardovsky who we present to you the official release of a previous original production which was part of one of this label's compilation a while back. 

This release entitled 'Sunrise' name that shares the above mentioned track which is a production with some deep soundscapes and layered harmonies fused with a deep bass line and some tech accents, soothing in nature. To revitalize this label favorite we have recruited the incredible talents of Monojoke who on the back of two successful releases on our progressive flagship this year has graciously contributed to this project with more colorful and upbeat version of Sunrise.

To top things off, Hide 'n' Seek a production that is the epitome of new techno or progressive tech, which ever name you most comfortably like to categorize the production showcases a beautiful layering of soundscapes that are both tension building and forward marching. Leave it to this young Ukrainian producer to deliver yet another innovative pieces of electronic music.
