This AU peaked in this track for me. Like this song is literally genius, the melodies gets simplier and simplier as the song goes just like the title implies, it goes from using the extended versions of the motifs to the normal variants to literally missing notes to show the change, its literally the song breaking itself down, and that. is. perfection.

The brilliant Doctor's return to form did not go as he anticipated it would. Siphoning everyone's memories of him at one of the most terrifying moments they've had with him lead him to rebuilding himself not quite how he was, but how he believes everyone sees him: a cruel, merciless being who would stop at nothing to be whole again.

Throughout the first phase of the battle against Dr. Gaster, Kris must, slowly but surely, dismantle the ideas the Doctor has gotten about himself.
