the opponent process was a group of us all about 17 or 18 years old in the east texas area back in 2001-2003 that played metal influenced by post hardcore and some grind and a fucking ton of converge. we tried to keep a scene going in our town and went apeshit at shows. we played evelyn's last show and hung out with aaron weiss and everyone else in mewithoutyou. beyond that we had no goals besides playing more and more aggressive music.

"the infinity demo"- recorded in adam heath's garage with one mic surrounding the drums, pa, and both stacks.... somehow, this came out pretty clear and is notably rad by how much more indie and emo we wrote the first songs while still getting some shit out.

"we came here to kill you" a much much better recording done in longview at rezist records. i(mike) was beyond sick with stomach ulcers and did my tracks in one take then went straight to the hospital because i had been throwing up blood for a week straight. so i wasn't there for the rest of the recording. i just got the final copy on my last day in the hospital. its sick. i'm proud we did this band. thats why these recordings are up here.
