The Orb

For many years The Orb have been amongst the most fearlessly and fascinating sonic marauders on this or any other planet. Their return in Febuaray 2008 with the long awaited new album ‘The Dream’ was greeted with much joy. Harking back to the original spirit that spawned the first two albums the new material once again explored sonic territories few dare to tread.

The lead single from that album was 'Vuja De'. At the time I was Label Manager for Liquid Sound, the label the album was released on, hence I decided to remix it too.

An introspective collection of psychedelic modular synth led experimentations, ‘Bright Serpent’ is the new album by Kristian Shelley aka electronic musician Inwards. Electronic textures and rhythms rub up against manipulated recordings of real instruments, voices and field recordings to fashion transportive snapshots of an inner sound-world.

‘Bright Serpent’ is set for release on 10th April 2020 by Small Pond Recordings on vinyl, CD and digital formats.
