Background announces a series of tracks, with periodical releases, on Ribbon Recordings. The selected tracks reflect the style of the events organized by Background at the Ribbon Club. The first release will be "Call The People" by Alessio Pagliaroli. The single features a guest appearance from Jerome Stokes (vocals). The duo Pagliaroli-Stokes is not a new one, as they have already realized a vinyl record for the Berliner Moodmusic, which has received a considerable success among the djs around the world.
The style of the label will be outlined by releases that range from electronic house to techno. Two versions by Alessio Pagliaroli, the techno remix by Spencer Parker completes the package. His presence says a lot about the sound of this new series.

Afterlife and Tale Of Us are proud to announce ‘Realm Of Consciousness’, a 10-piece compilation
expanding the Afterlife totality into a label. The label and events will complement each other with one
aim; to bring the crowd into another dimension of music perception with enthralling production to that
ignite the senses.
The ‘Realm Of Consciousness’ voyage commences with Tale Of Us’ Lies - a fitting introduction with
quivering keys and restrained percussion that engenders an ominous suspense ahead of Monoloc’s
enigmatic industrial techno crunch, Phoenix. Shifting through the haunting chords of Recondite’s dynamic
Murphy’s Law, to the brooding synth of Poseidon by Ukrainian duo Woo York, the realisation of Afterlife
utopia is upon us. The repetitive, mesmerising synth and effective reverb that Somne creates with Triangle
is an odyssey within itself. From there, John Hester’s expertly woven ‘Logan’ is a feverish techno stab that
transverses through the emotional senses, transitioning to Locked Groove’s adroitly crafted Emeralds, to
Ryan James Ford’s ambient, albeit percussive, techno cut Toree Bahrstad. Die Wiederkehr is the outcome
of Obscure Shape & SHDW’s collaboration, which incorporates facets of techno and trance that have
been shaped with real guile and finesse. Mind Against round off the compilation with Gravity - a
mystifying ambience and a fitting title as we touch back down to planet earth.

Berlin/Barcelona based OFF Recordings is run by Andre Crom, focusing its sound to varying degrees of Techno.

Following releases that have featured the likes of Charlotte de Witte, Oliver Deutschmann and Cari Lekebusch, the labels new release from Polish artist DEAS is another Techno stomper, with dark atmosphere and a dancefloor focus.

This is the second release by DEAS on OFF Recordings, and he has released on a number of other labels ranging from Pan-Pot's Second State to Kevin Sanderson's KMS Records. Also playing regular gigs in Poland and across Europe, the talented DEAS is fast becoming one of Techno's most exciting breakthrough artists.

DEAS lists influences such as Dubfire, Plastikman and Robert Hood but in his own words "is never a subject to stereotypes and clichés", which allows him to think freely and create music without boundaries.

First on the release is "Mentality" which centres round a rolling groove with forward momentum, and a sonar effect that creates a vast and spacious sound. The lead synth has a hint of euphoria which contrasts nicely with the juddering bass stabs that shake the track's foundation.

The second track "Monotheism" has a pulsating bassline and distorted kick drum that pounds relentlessly underneath the delicate dreamscape of the lead synths melody. The hard undertones and sort layers combine with finesse, and make this a distinctly mesmerising slice of dancefloor focused Techno.

Third is "Paranoia" and its synthesised tom drums rich with white noise and intense drama which merge with the cosmic pads of epic proportion. With a grinding bass sound and stabbing synth rhythm, the tracks eerie atmosphere paints pictures of alien worlds and dystopian landscapes.

Last on the EP is "Kamikaze" which has a paranoid vocal sample and unnerving melody that blended with the uptempo groove, give the track a ferocious energy. With an abrupt start and ending, this is take no prisoners Techno that gets straight down to business, and will not disappoint when played in a club setting.

After a couple of great remixes for Noir Music Robert S (PT) delivers his first solo- release on the label and I am proud to present these three amazing originals and two remixes courtesy of Drumcell and The Advent.

Robert and I have been compiling this release over several months and put together what we felt was a really strong 3-tracker. We have been testing the tracks in the clubs around the world making sure we had compiled the perfect release and we are both super happy with the end-result.

On top of that we reached out to Drumcell and The Advent for remixes and they both delivered fantastic takes on the “Exoplanets” track.
