James Reid-  is a British DJ, producer, and record label owner who is recently back in the UK after living and playing in Ibiza 2011-2019, will amaze your ears with this all vinyl mix made with organic sounds and new energy.
His  dubby stripped back style is reflected in the releases he has selected for his label Sonet Music over the last two years, featuring Underground artists from across Europe. He has released his own productions on labels such as Whoyostro Zingiber Audio and most recently Outpunkt. 
James’s Ibiza highlights include playing at Space Ibiza, at Carl Cox´s Revolution night and more recently he has performed 3 consecutive years in Sydney at the Space Ibiza on Tour event and has also  played at Australia’s premier electronic music brand S.A.S.H.

"Reaching for the Song" is the first debut release of mine as a solo artist. The song itself is moving, personal, engaging and and described also as "uplifting' by some. It is open to interpretation with its meaning -as are any songs in my opinion as an artist and listener/fan of music generally - hoping to reach to listerners who connect with the notion that sometimes we have good intentions, try our hardest at something and yet are "falling" or feel we are failing despite our big heart's intentions.

Drawing on influences that span from the trip hop era of Portishead to the folk roots Iron & Wine, The Paper Waits are an alt-folk duo from the north of England. 

Still on a search for what it means to be a human in the digital age, the pair explore melancholic poetic visions, alongside the inexplicable experience of individual and collective passion. In doing so, they blend moody vocal harmonies and intricate guitar parts while maintaining a considered yet raw soundscape.
 
After the release of ‘Lights Low’ in 2020, the pair embraced the chance to retreat, and develop their sound through the wisdom and discomfort gained through isolation. Where momentum was gained on the live show front prior to lockdown , the highlight of which was playing at Live at Leeds, honing their songwriting craft as a duo became the focus for the coming months. 

Now back with a developed and polished sound, the pair are set to release the first single from their latest body of work at the end of this month. 

They are supported by Jericho Keys of BBCIntroducing York and North Yorkshire and have achieved 'Record of the Week' on three occasions, including for their latest release 'On and On'.
