Influenced by the likes of the piano trios of Oscar Peterson, Ahmad Jamal, Red Garland, Gene Harris, and Bill Evans, the Philip Marshall Trio pays respectful homage, while managing to forge its own distinctive voice.

The trio consists of drummer and leader Philip Marshall, bassist Michael Stevens, and features the exciting & talented young pianist, Gianni Bianchini.

With their sound firmly rooted in the blues, they groove and swing with elegance and refinement; and yet without the pretense that is normally associated with jazz.
