The Playmakers are arguably the best hiphop group that's ever came out of Springfield. Taking the midwest by storm, these guys started from scratch, when Many Thangs aka Jason Newberry started producing music from the dark side. The Playmakers have opened for Bone Thugs n Harmony, HED PE, Cousin Cleetus, Boondox, Stevie Stone, Ces Cru, Wicked Wayz, Haystak, Jelly Roll, Obnoxious from D12, Lord Infamous from 36 Mafia, Frazior Boy from 36, Lil Wyte from 36, Spaid Ripper, Twisted Insane, Prozac, JL B Hood, KoldKase, and many others multiple times. These guys have won 2 battle of the bands in Springfield MO to prove their ground. They were also voted best HipHop group of 2012 and 2013 by local voters. These guys have been building on their foundation, by doing radio interviews all across the country. They've traveled from Memphis up to St Louis, trying to spread the disease across the midwest, as well as the rest of the world. Nobody does it better.
