Born in Vienna, DEF Mike is active in the electronic music scene for nearly 20 years now and has experienced many trends in this area. Only late he did decide to work behind the turntables. He developed the right feeling for which music to play to get quickly connected to the party crowd, to inspire them with his sound. Consequently bookings at the best known Viennese clubs followed.
To enrich the Vienna event scene, DEF Mike also started his own event series called ESESENTIAL. The goal is to connect upcoming international, as well as national DJ acts, to a more music interested party crowd. Playing along with well-known DJs, such as Gramophonedzie, Kruse & Nurnberg, Pirupa, Tony Lionni, Uner, Delano Smith, Evren Ulusoy, Sergio Fernandez, Lee Van Dowski, Adam Port and Mark Reeve (to name only a few), supported by local DJ talents, have turned ESSENTIAL into a popular monthly hotspot. By popular gigs in cities like Chicago, Barcelona, London he was noticeable also abroad - highlights were his gigs at the legendary Barceloneta Beach Party with Audiofly & FACT Artists in June 2013 and also his DJ Set at the famous Flying Circus Party at OFF SONAR 2013. Like any DJ who is into music, DEF Mike began producing his own tracks. It can be observed that his sound is influenced by his preference for deep house with soulful vocal elements and groovy baselines. Actually he is signing with impressive frequency new works and collaborations with prestigious Labels and Djs.

Mattia was born in Italy, in a little village between Rome and Naples.For many years, he was in contact with classical music, blues and rock and thanks to this exposure he learned to play the guitar, the bass and the piano.
This led him to discover electronic music, which he found to be made of energy and great sounds! So, he began to expands his DJ culture with Electronic, Deep and Chilling sounds. He plays and experiment with new sounds as well as with Funky and Jazz. Mattia has created a unique style, based of experimentation and innovation.
His first experiences abroad have been in the major nations of electronic music, Germany and Spain. Now he lives in Valencia (Spain) and he works as Sincopat’s A&R. He is an artist for labels like Sincopat, Suara and Einmusika.

IIncisive and breathtaking, David Ponziano is a Madrilenian artist, who radiates personality inside and outside the DJ booth. This is precisely his trump card, the one that gives him the winning hand in his moves. He has the club in his veins, many hours of experience behind him, a wide vision and few prejudices. These virtues make it hard to resist his musical assaults and the public in his habitual residences, at parties such as Replay, Reclub or Motel, is well aware of that.
 
His sessions are constructive, formed by musical lines that diversify and combine to build a union of sounds that can range between disco, house, deep, techno or acid, without losing coherence within the musical discourse. He is definitely an old school DJ, one of those who knows what he is doing and enjoys dancing and feeling the beat.
 
The preamble of his relationship with electronic music comes from the mid-90s, when the last gasps of EBM and new wave conquered his heart to the rhythm of sharp bases, aggressive guitars and rough synths. From those days to the present time the paths have been many and diverse, reaching their peak and acquiring sense in the mid-2000s, when he began to release his first music publications under the pseudonym Play The Game. In the meantime, he studies sound engineering and launches his own mixing and mastering studio, Peak Studio. Nowadays and after several and successful adventures as a promoter in other brands like MOTEL, he is running his own club: HALLEY.
 
His career as DJ and producer is acquiring greater dimensions day by day with releases on labels like Alma Soul Music, Lust Recordings, Cuatro Records or Parallel, as well as with remixes for artists like Alexi Delano, Matthias Vogt (Motorcitysoul), Julian Sanza or Boghosian & Torquato and with his active residences in Replay and Reclub. In brief, the last four years have been very intense, enabling him to be positioned as one of the most active and popular artists in Madrid's underground scene.

Based in Greece, Dizharmonia is a duo that has been gaining a great deal of recognition as of late. With a main influence deriving from old school progressive sounds and an approach towards more modernistic techno, Dizaharmonia is a project that is certainly not afraid to push “musical” boundaries.

Making their debut on French based Deep House and Techno record label Nagual Research, ‘Thonis’ is one of three original productions from the Vivlos EP, alongside remixes from BAAL and Nick Varon.

Opening the collection is Soul Button’s take on “Orcus”. Its breathtaking sounds create anticipation of an unfaithful atmosphere, absorbing the mind and drawing images of an army setting on an epic mission. 

Nick Devon’s reconstruction of “Indra” is dark and powerful. Its intensity and domination evokes feelings of continuous abduction to the sound of repetitive synths. 

Clawz SG adds his signature touch to Devon’s “Symbiose”. Determined rhythm, delicate melodies and soft kicks capture an illusionary dream of retaliating sounds that intertwines and drift into climactic synths.

Last, but not the least is JOBE’s version of “Constellations”. Infinite sparks of sound over the baseline holds the listener captive in a trance while pleasant melodies nurse the consciousness into the vast universe.

The talented Hungarian producer Justrice is the one who brings you the originals of the eight EP of Infinite Depth. Three pretty minimal and dark tracks with strange sounds and an eye for detail. For the remix, the title track ‘Relic’ got an obscure techno touch of Altman.

The first track of the EP is called ‘Camouflage’. In this track the strange sounds mentioned before are already obviously present. It’s a high tension track which works towards one moment. At this moment the tension has risen till its highest point and immediate falls down unexpectedly, creating an incomprehensible flash.

PREMIERE: First Of The Last -Default [SOMATIC RECORDS]

Christian Nielsen is back on Sincopat this time for his first solo EP on the label. The Danish artist is a relentless person: office worker by day and music hero by night, he has definitely found his path in electronic music.
Talking about music, 'Access' opens the EP with one clear aim: make you dance. It counts with an amazing and epic breakdown to be enjoyed entirely. On remix duties, AFFKT takes the track to his painting easel adding more melodic notes to the landscape with his unique and personal style, Sincopat's big kahuna proves once again his talent with this powerful and organic remix. On 'Stroke it', Christian uses the minimum items to get the best result, you won't need anything else to find this track awesome: it is sinister, hypnotic and really effective. Last but not least 'Back Seat' is the perfect closure for the release, adding an even more timeless flavor to the whole pack. Enjoy!

Christian Nielsen - Access (AFFKT Remix) [Sincopat 78]

'Tash's Movement Recordings begins the new year by welcoming Can Durmus to the label for his debut EP. The Turkish artist has been rising through the electronic underground with releases on Click Records and Symmetric Records. His unique blend of progressive house and melodic techno has earned praise from some of the world's foremost DJs, while also landing high chart positions on Beatport. Now getting 2020 off to a great start he debuts on Movement Recordings with the three track 'Gravity' EP.

Beginning with the title track Can crafts a dark, sinister creation that's nicely geared for peaktime play. Punchy beats and rolling bass unite for a powerful low end, while piercing stabs and fiery percussion add mightily to its electric nature. Spacey and dramatic, astral arps take the narrative into a tense break, melting down to emotive chord changes and a bright tonal motif, before a lengthy build cues a powerful drop.

'Algorithm' follows suit with an equally energetic approach. Robust rhythms carry the rolling groove while exotic effects and wispy atmospheres sweep across the stereo field. Once again drama and tension continue to rise, as a well-crafted break and clustered drum rolls reset the groove for a cosmic finale.

The peak time sensibility continues with the third and final selection 'Unknown Machines'. 
It's bulbous kick and charged underbelly provide a perfect balance of bounce and drive. Sinister stabs and ethereal vocals layer the subterranean groove, as the framework strips down into the main break. Spanning nearly two minutes in length, the centrepiece builds drama through acid-like clusters and a massive drum roll, eventually reaching a fiery crescendo to round out the EP on a strong note. It makes for a superb Movement Recordings debut for Can Durmus, who has certainly gotten the new year off to a great start.'
