Hi there!! My name is Clayton Lewis and thanks for your interest in the podcast. I’m a procrastinator in the worst way and if I can put something off until later, I certainly will. Without the driving force of a deadline or some other “carrot” to push me, I generally don’t complete a task until the very last possible moment. To quote the movie Office Space; “It’s not that I’m lazy, it’s that I just don’t care. It’s a lack of motivation, Bob”. Actually, I do care but it is certainly a lack of motivation for the most part.

Because of my procrastinating affliction, I’ve toiled over what this podcast should be about. Since I take an active interest in so many topics including audio recording, songwriting, sequencing, and just music in general it was hard to choose a topic. What I have learned is that I love to talk to people and find out how they do what they do with their music. I spend hours reading magazines, looking at studio pictures, reading how this artist made this sound and what this band is doing to stay fresh in the studio, etc. I figured if that stuff interests me.. it must interest others as well.

So I just started talking to other musicians and bands to see what they’re up to. Simply because it interests me. An added bonus is that folks can use this podcast as a vehicle to put a voice behind the music they post and give the listener a chance to learn more about them. So most of my podcast episodes will be dedicated to highlighting a new artist or band.
