This Klankcast Genki Tanaka, an old friend from our times back in Melbourne. A Dj who just seems to select his records by the heart, and isn't set to a script it seems like. This is why this set keeps you on your toes, keeps you engaged, not being too sure what's going to be behind the next record. With a broad horizon of styles packed in his record bag, ranging from styles like jazz, soul, disco, and house, he will make sure the listener's perspective on the musical spectrum will stretch.  
 
We asked him to select and highlight two songs from his set:

#1 Yumewo Miyouyo / Junko Ohashi + Minoya Central Station
Yumewo Miyouyo means Follow your dreams. In this song, released in 1979, she sings
"The world is dark and foreboding. But it would be easier if we could live more freely, without worrying about such things. Follow your dreams, everything will be alright."
I selected this song as the first track because I thought the lyrics would resonate well with those of us living in a time of chaos.
#2 Getting Fingered On The Waltzers / Crown Prince Of Waterford
I bought this record a long time ago, but actually, I had never played it before. I am lucky to have found this wonderful track in my collection, which had been lying dormant for a long time.
A passionate sound that comes on strong makes us remember the days of parties where people could dance and sing together!

- tribute to rock oldies - is a set I made as a tribute to all the rock bands I used to listen to when I was a teenager. I recorded it in my favorite wine bar in Paris: le @stereoparis in the 9ème. I used the first vinyls I bought when I was between 12 and 16 years old. they're all classics from the 60’s and 70’s  but I hadn't listened to them for a very long time and I hope you will enjoy this set as much as I did making it. ❤️
