At the beginning of February, we told you about the forthcoming full-length album by the sci-fi-lovin' bedroom producer known as Com Truise, called Galactic Melt. Still a ways off from seeing that record, we're going to be treated to the three-song Fairlight EP on May 3, courtesy of releasing label Ghostly. None of those homegrown, electro-tinged tunes come from Truise's aforementioned debut LP, and yet they do trick of tiding us over until it arrives. Take the hyper-compressed "Polyhurt," where '80s-inspired sonic motifs are infused with fresh compositional ideas and a reinvigorated soul, one that emanates as much heartache as neon glow. It'll certainly be enough to satiate our nostalgic urges until Com Truise unveils Galactic Melt on July 5.

Sonar has held a special place in my heart for the past decade. We have grown together and they have invited me to perform many times at integral points in my career. This year I brought two performances to Sonar. The first was my Audion Subverticul Live show at Sonar By Day, and the second was a DJ set at Sonar By Night. The DJ set was captured in full live format, with microphones on the crowd and a final mix done on the house console by Sonar's incredible engineers. I'm happy to present this DJ set to you now in all it's glory. Relive the energy of Sonar By Night over and over again.

Sofi Tukker, ça vous parle ? Vous avez forcément entendu la musique de ce duo une fois dans votre vie. Repéré par Apple et composé de Sophie Hawley-Weld et Tucker Halpern, il a vu un premier de ses morceaux synchronisé sur une pub Apple Watch en 2015. La marque de Cupertino et TBWA, son agence de communication, ont bien calculé leur coup : la boucle de guitare du morceau remplit le job et la pub rentre instantanément dans le crâne.

Apple ne s’arrête pas là et dévoile l’iPhone X sur le morceau "Best Friend" en 2017, puis synchronise "That’s It", version édulcorée du titre Batshit de Sofi Tukker, sur la pub iPhone 8 de 2018. Ces synchros publicitaires s’avèrent être de véritables tremplins : le groupe connaît une ascension fulgurante, multiplie les late shows américains, cumule les millions de streams, les dates et les nominations.
