Slow Mo

After many months of writing new material we have finally got round to recording some new songs. This song was inspired by a trip to Applecross over the Bealach Na Ba … I hope you like it.

Until recently we were a two piece band, Roddie McLaggan on fretless bass and Paul Hope on guitar and vocals, but have now been joined by Claire Darcy who brings her beautiful singing voice to the mix.  The tracks currently uploaded onto Soundcloud are early demos recorded by Paul, and we hope to be able to update these soon with material recorded by us as a trio.

We write all of our own material.  Most of the tracks, but not all, are fairly gentle in nature and are based on the location in which we live, the human state (otherwise known as love) and a mixture of personal experiences both here and abroad. We're currently working on around 20 tracks which we aim to pull together into an album entitled In a Fragile World.

Along with every other songwriter in the World today, I have written quite a few songs about the times we are currently living in, and despite everything there are good people as well as bad, and there is hope amongst all this despair.

Strange Days Indeed

Hard to believe that it has been ten years since my mum passed away. Sadly our relationship was not a great one and unlike so many people who lament the loss of a parent, hardly a day goes by when I think about her, which of course is the saddest thing of all. This tune is for all of us who tried their best, but could never quite attain that certain level of expectation their mothers hoped for .....such is life.

Three Little Words

I always used to take the train journey from Inverness to Edinburgh for granted. The amazing views, the interesting people you would meet and of course the high calibre of cuisine served with a smile from the ever so slightly expensive trolley. How things have changed. I look forward to a 'normal' trip on the train in the not so distant future ....

On the surface we can appear happy and in control, yet underneath there are so many complexities and struggles that remain hidden, even to our closest friends and colleagues.
