Polyfillas are a young punk-influenced band from Sunderland, UK, formed around the singer-songwriter partnership of Ava and Jamie Dangerous.

Ava and Jamie started the band in 2024, after they had each released solo acoustic tracks and were instead looking to "crank up the gears a notch" by becoming a punk-inspired four piece.

In October 2024, after gathering a bit of a buzz around their exciting live act, Polyfillas released a five track EP titled Rude Boys of England. This consisted of two new-fashioned punk numbers ('I'm Bored/I'm a Whore' and 'Own Youth Movement'), the longer, reggae-tinged title track, plus two folk-punk excursions ('Fifteen Minutes of Shame' and 'Repeat The Defeat').

5 September 2025 will see the release of the dance-rock track 'Period Pad/I'm Glad'. This new song is somewhat of a departure for Polyfillas, with a backwards guitar solo and vocals lending it a dizzy, post-punk feel. Written in response to issues surrounding period poverty, the track will feature on Polyfillas debut album, which is currently half complete.


What makes Polyfillas? A desire to be different, speak out about uncomfortable issues and make new, exciting and genre-defying music. Catch them play live in and around the North East of England. One day they might even come to a town near you!
