Enlightened

The Ragged Dragoons is a rock band formed in 2010 by Mica Winsett and Russ Wegfehrt. Originating in Monterey, California, the band consists of Winsett (lead guitar), Wegfehrt (guitar/vocals), Greg Klinger (bass), Omar Murillo (drums), and Tom Novack (guitar). The band brings original riff-based rock and roll with attention to melody, dynamic, and thoughtful lyrics while driving cleanly through stops, starts, and unforced time changes and tempo shifts to create a powerful, energetic musical experience. 

Combining a wide range of musical influences from hard rock to funk, alternative to hip hop, the band creates a unique blend of grooves, riffs, and melody that brings hints of their primary influences Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Black Sabbath, Them Crooked Vultures, The Police, and Blind Melon. With their self-titled debut, the Dragoons deliver the first wave of their driving rock and roll to listeners, with more waves to come—they are heading into the studio again in the summer of 2013 to record their second album, tentatively titled Peace in the Valley.
