The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Pierce With Arrow. The collaborative project of minimal techno pioneer Troy Pierce and Colombian audiovisual artist Natalia Escobar aka Poison Arrow, recently released their collaborative debut, Shatter (DAIS), which is a powerful work of sound and visual art. Veering from the producers’ well known dance floor oriented sound, Shatter is a cinematic record which masterfully weaves through different emotions and atmospheres. Their mix for us takes their sound and constructs a mind bending journey.

KUBA SOJKA is a producer, live performer, and sound designer from Poland, with over several years of experience in the electronic music scene. By day, he mentors young musicians at the School of Modern Music in Wrocław, specializing in sound synthesis, music production, and modern instruments.
Recognized by record labels from Detroit, Chicago, Paris, Berlin and London, Sojka showcases his diverse musical skills through vibrant live performances just on hardware without computers. Audiences appreciate his versatility, influenced by Detroit Techno, and improvisational talent. He frequently performs in Polish clubs, festivals, and internationally renowned venues like Tresor, Panorama Bar, Egg London and many more. Collaborating with commercial projects, Sojka has contributed tracks to Cyberpunk 2077 and worked as a sound designer for Arturia, demonstrating his dedication and innovative approach to music production.

Active since 1997, Exos has released three albums and more than twenty singles, along with collaboration with the likes of Steve O'Sullivan, Ben Sims, Mark Broom and Dj Rush and Nina Kraviz. In 2017 Exos is opening his own label called "Invisible Limits" (IVl) releasing music from friends, favorites and himself. He gives us a mix here of his favourite tracks from the last 12 months, this is his first podcast in 3 years!

Brooklyn-based Chloé Lula appreciates the rawness and weirdness in music; something she translates into her exploits as a DJ, which sees her combing the far-reaching corners of industrial, EBM, techno and wave. 

As well as her own musical pursuits, she has a hand in keeping the cogs turning behind the scenes at several labels, including both her own Detour imprint launched in 2012 and the inimitable aufnahme + wiedergabe, for whom she spent time working as label manager back in Berlin. 

This year will see the release of several EPs worth of material she's been sitting on for a while, one being a debut on the aforementioned German label she has close ties with, and another a split EP alongside fellow producer and best pal Ireen Amnes.

We invited Chloé to take control of this week's Wednesday Alternative Mix, a moody and nostalgia-inducing mix of the raw, rumbling electronics that form the backbone of her DJ sets...
