Hysteric - Hotel Italo Vol. 2

You don't get the nickname "King of the Cut" for nothing...

Over the years, Danish DJ and producer Flemming Dalum has built a reputation for being a dab hand at the edit. Italo is his life-long passion: he's been dedicated to the darker, underground shades of the sound since the 1980s.

His impact on the genre is remarkable: he's made nine edit packages for Centre Neptune; created mixes for Mothball Records, Bordello A Parigi and Roller Disco Records; and reworked tracks by Klein & M.B.O, Koto, Steel Mind, Mono Band and so many others.

He's also a longtime affiliate of Red Laser Records, the Italo-indebted Manctalo imprint run by Il Bosco, which he's contributed a ton of edits and remixes to. The Manchester label reached the ripe old age of 10 this year and to commemorate the imprint reaching a milestone anniversary, Flemming has whipped up a special mix of his favourite label cuts to take the listener on a journey. In his own words, "the sound of Red Laser will show you the way."

'Ansonica is an Italian DJ based in Berlin. Obsessed with disco music since she was a kid, thanks to the influence of her mother, she literally grew up with spaghetti and italo disco. She loves creating her own music style fully shaped on her taste and personality, combining high energy disco with diverse house, funk and electronic vibes. Her mission is making disco glamorous and exciting again and bring the dancers on a fresh, energetic, fun and always a “little bit italian” journey'

She grew up discovering new music via the internet, through peer to peer networks as well as radio stations such as Overfitting Disco and IntergalacticFM. She has always been naturally drawn to the sound of the 70s and 80s. 

In the past few years, her passion of discovering and collecting records has taken her to parties across Europe.
