Tresor Records remains one of the most pivotal and definitive labels and nightclubs in underground dance and electronic music. For years it has helped to cement the sound of Electro and Techno representing some of the most unique and innovative artists from across the spectrum of the genre.

Now what better way to celebrate and spotlight the label than by asking two of its latest signings to select their favourite releases from what is an expansive collection of music.

Jensen Interceptor and DeFeKT are two artists who know more than a thing or two about techno and electro themselves – unique and well established in their own right, they have just collaborated to release a new record via the Berlin label.

Together they have recorded an exclusive back to back mix which features music from the likes of Drexciya, The Advent, Joey Beltram, K-Hand, Dj Stingray and Jeff Mills.

The Canadian born and Berlin-based artist has been on our radar since his debut in 2012 and has been providing us with killer edits for our dj-sets ever since. 👊 Most recently, he released a two part EP series called “Mutations I & II” on @dkmntl Records fusing techno, drum and bass, electro and hardcore into a potent formula. His high energy and eclectic mixing style has found its way into Berghain, De School, Tresor, and will be able to catch at Dekmantel Festival this summer 🔥 Get ready for an hour full of breakbeats and unpredictable turnarounds from one of the most promising artists in the game! 🙌

Hitting the scene hard in 2016 with his debut 4-tracker for Rotterdam’s Common Thread Records, Identified Patient’s sonic personality was born through downtempo saturation, club/wave fusion, and fuzzy acid. It comes as no surprise that his influences reach as far and wide as they do; Identified Patient is one of the rare artists whose sound can be recognised immediately, leading him to being very highly in-demand on the international market.

Identified Patient has the digging and aesthetic qualities of an artist’s artist while maintaining an understanding of music that makes him a hit even among newcomers to our music, and with a career that blasts through every coming year, we are proud to host him as our final artist on VOLTAGE Podcast.

Born in Glasgow but operating out of Copenhagen, she was a founding member of the Apeiron Crew DJ collective, has produced as Historical Repeater with Ctrls and often plays with Mama Snake as she did at our own festival a few years ago. Her Rinse FM radio show is always packed with new sounds that have you desperate to find out more, as is this week's mix. 

It's built on bold, body-shaking rhythms that are elastic and acrobatic. They're loose and roomy to start before the kinetic energy builds through jungle cuts, thumping deep techno and unhinged club music. Though squarely aimed at the dance floor, these selections are detailed with freaky monologues or wild vocalisations that bring them to life outside the club. They're both deep but lively and run through with a subtle sense of party-starting fun.
