Ahead of Phonica's trip out to Kala festival this week, we reach out to one of their longest running residents to display his wares for the Phonica mix series. Music From Memory affiliate, NTS host and all round deep digger John Gómez pays homage to Phonica with a dive into his more clubby collection of records. John gives us an hour of some of his favorite releases in the realms of house, disco, acid and breaks showing why he stands as one of the UK's most respected collectors. The great ears of John Gomez were introduced to us via our office stablemate Mr Bobby Pleasure. Mr Gomez is a selector of the highest order and runs the Tangent parties with Nick The Record with a bag of wax tricks you'll most likely never have or need to have heard of. This is what DJs are all about in the age of the Beatport generation, people that educate your ears with nuggets never heard before. He hosts the Rush Hour Takeovers on NTS and is a regular selector at London audiophile hot spot Brilliant Corners, which recently saw him go head-to-head and back-to-back with the venerable record bags of the Invisible City DJs and Floating Points. We thought it about time he made Monday OK at R$N towers so here is his mandate... plus a proper plus a proper chat with John n all...

This healing journey was recorded in August 2020 at a small indoor/outdoor festival at Golden Bay's Autumn Farm. There's a few new and old favourites mixed up in here. Dubby cuddle vibes meander into weird deepness, tribal drums high-five rocky guitars...dreamy dancemoves on a moonlit floor, bodies spinning to folky 4/4 and restrained disco-y basslines.

Once again a great chance to showcase the full spectrum of music that makes up what Delusional Disco Drongos are all about, wholesome, loving vibes and smiling faces.

Co-founder/organiser Gabriel Badwan's taken the reins for this one, supplying just under an hour of super mellow jams. Perfect brain soothers for your re-introduction to lockdown life.
