We've got an exclusive premiere of R$N favourites Days of Being Wild with their second release in their LP series (after Piano Interrupted’s Two By Four at the end of 2012) from French producer and Strasbourg based android Najem Sworb simply entitled LP.

After the warm neoclassicism of Piano Interrupted, they go back to the future to visit much colder reaches with Najem’s Sworb’s LP.

Best known for his releases on AI and Clone, Najem Sworb’s music finds its roots, both stylistically and spiritually in the origins of techno and Detroit’s pioneers but also early 2000’s minimalists such as Villalobos or Isolée. 

LP oscillates between techno for frozen landscapes and a world deserted of humans and blunt, industrial assault from the terminators of Skynet.

Gino Grasso is a ‘disco don’ and rare record dealer. 
A life-long collector collector of disco music for over 30 years he supplies the big dons like Dimitri from Paris, Kenny Dope Gonzalez and others. Even Peter Brown from P&P Records has asked him personally for catalogue records that he doesn't have anymore. He's always DJing in Italy (where he's very well known) and around Europe. He's also a close friend and big fan of Far Out Recordings. Joe Davis, Far Out label head asked him to put together a mix around the release of the Far Out Monster Disco Orchestra rom the label.

You may have noticed how hot under the collar we got about D'Marc Cantu's remix of Richard Fearless' Higher Electronic States a few months back. We also had a chat to him we were so excited.
Having just signed to desire, D'Marc Cantu has prepared a blinding 5 track EP entitled 'Parisian Summer' for your aural pleasure. We've been lucky enough to get our hands on the exclusive premiere of the whole EP and you listen to it in its entire splendid offering right here.
Here's what D'Marc himself had to say about the record;
"The release was a follow up of sorts to my remix of Ricardo Tobar’s 'If I love you'. Having spoken to Jerome Mestre of Desire a few times since the remix, he and I decided that it would be great to follow it up with a dance focused release.
"The idea behind 'Parisian Summer' came after I played the Weather Fesitval in Paris during the spring of 2013. The atmosphere was amazing and so many new ideas emerged from my experiences there. 'PartyDaze', 'Svetlana' and 'MadDance' were all created ahead of my show at La Machine that weekend. All three of those tracks were made with the purpose of capturing that raw energy that was being given off by some of the best crowds I’ve ever witnessed. In Paris they party with you not to you, so it was important for me to create songs that captured those moments when the crowd was at their most energetic. 'Irregular Bedfellows' was created as a nice counterbalance to high energy drive of the previous three tracks and 'Uneven' was to bookend of the whole EP. Created several years ago it languished in the completed folder on my hard drive. Never really finding its right place until this project came along. It sits squarely in middle of a relaxing dream and a feverish nightmare, truly Uneven."

OpenLab Selectors: Visions Of Light

Recorded in a small village on the Costa Brava – surrounded by seagulls, tramontana winds, and sea urchin-covered rocks – this mix comes from the laid-back Barcelona neighbourhood of Gràcia, where Parisian-born Antoine Harispuru, better known as Golden Bug, has made his home.

With a career spanning over fifteen years, Golden Bug has become known for his unique signature: drum machines in a haze of smoke, chopped-up sounds with a machete edge, drenched in delay – a raw, kaleidoscopic patchwork of electronica, dub, and psychedelia.

His work has graced  labels including La Belle Records (his own imprint), Les Disques de la Mort, Höga Nord, Gomma, Multi Culti, and Kompakt. This mix hits as the anniversary edition of Piscolabis II, where Golden Bug teams up once again with artists from around the world to craft a new series of aural excursions. From digital reggae to cinematic electronica with Londoner Simone Butler (of Primal Scream) and Brazilian artist Max Blum, to mutant disco with Franco-Italian musician Kim Giani, via slow-burning, incandescent techno led by the captivating voice of Greek singer Scarlett O’Hanna, and krautrock infused with dub in collaboration with London-based Phoebe Coco. These six tracks offer a bold and refreshing reinterpretation of the original album: a rich, textured sonic journey shaped by diverse and unexpected influences.


 
Among the selections, you’ll find current favouites like SAVE’s Rainy Monday — a digital dub gem from Marc Nguyen’s project on Ivan Smagghe’s Les Disques de la Mort, alongside recent discoveries like Blotter Trax’s Superconductor on Optimo.

Born & bred in Melbourne, DA’s spent time living in New York, and traveled through Europe & Asia. DA has always focused heavily on production and proudly sports a slew of records on his own label Enjoyment Division, Hell Yeah Recordings, Love Above Records, Houseworx, Rothmans, Tusk Wax, Blind Jacks Journey, Ombra, Wonder Stories, Roam Recordings, El Diablo Social Club.
