Worst Behavior, Vol. 4 is the final installment of our Worst Behavior compilation series and it’s truly a global affair, uniting producers from Amman, Moscow, Bristol, NYC, Los Angeles, Austin, and beyond over 16 tracks that show the excitement and kinetic energy of soundsystem music and culture. 160 bpm heaters have been our hallmark, and this compilation definitely delivers on that front, but also includes a wider range of sounds, speeds, and genres than ever before.

Worst Behavior, Vol. 4

SSS is a Bristol-based label driven by exploring the realms of left-leaning, bass-weight dance music.

Label founder SSSLIP is a multi-faceted selector and producer with previous releases on Trax Haven, Folly and Ba Dum Tish, as well as forthcoming bits on EC2A and Slump.

Joe Koshin’s eclectic and high-energy productions have established him as a notable name in the underground dance music scene. His recent move to Bristol has seen him under a lineup of bass-driven labels including Night Service, Trax Haven, Gimme A Break and Time Is Now.

SSS001 captures the diversity of both producers' styles and aims, bringing together influences from electro, alongside ever-changing and evolving melody lines that refuse to sit still and will keep the dancefloor on their toes.

GABS003 sees Bristol's Works resident Portway join the label’s roster. With previous releases on TRAX HAVEN, Moon Rack, excess, Duckland and JUKE BOUNCE WERK, ranging from 100bpm chuggers to tearout jungle, Portway has established himself as a genre-defying chameleon. His forward-thinking sound design and innovative drum programming has gained recent support from LCY, A.Fruit, Skream and many others.

Portway takes a walk down the more percussive route in his contribution to our recently launched 2-track singles series, inspired by the likes of Sinjin Hawke, Scratcha DVA, Two Shell and Atrice. “Dropshipping” opens with a precautionary melody, descends into a flurry of metallic antiphony and is then quickly pierced by a formidable bassline complimented with intricately manipulated grime vocal samples. “Lithium Souls” combines shimmering pads with considered vocal chops and crackling drums.
