Delayed piano stabs tease us in with encircling robotic, tropical soundscapes before a playful electro beat pounds in our eardrums. Layered percussion and woozing pads leave us longing to know where the track will take us before a wave of 80s stranger synths envelop the song, zapping us straight to a dimension of yesteryear's future.

The full 3-track EP by Jauge titled ‘MBE005’ is scheduled to be released on the 25th of March 2021 by the Vietnam based record label; Magic Box Engine.

A new label has been birthed in Tulum, brought to us by the team behind the Papaya Playa Project. Kilometro 4.5 continues the crews mission to create a home for their electronic music idols, both stalwarts and emerging, and so their first outing comes in the form of a VA gathering pioneering producers from around the world. The singular productions come from Boss Musik's Dorisburg, Circle of Live member Sebastian Mullaert, Wareika and our pick from Compost Records' Kalabrese, who delivers a rolling analogue groove.

"Fresh off a run of vinyl releases supported by legends of the scene like Gerd Janson, Todd Edwards, Move D and DJ Sprinkles, Skylax Records are mighty proud to present Sweden’s Lukas Lyrestam for our 150th release.
“When 2 Bodies Become 1” treads a fine line between raucous deep-house, balearic blues and straight-up sexy music. The opener “Raw Loop” channels classic Pepe Braddock vibes while “Moving Day” sounds like it could’ve come from the sonic experiments of a certain 90s house producer who loves to play keyboards. Lukas is a musician and singer first, which really shows on the flip side of the record – something which Mano Le Tough & Jimpster were very happy to support on a recent release for Clouded House.“Strange Beast” marries off-kilter chorus-kissed guitar riffs with a driving four-to-the floor arrangement while “2 Bodies Become 1” takes a step further away from house music to combine vintage new-order textures and shuffling deep-house. Lukas also builds digital synthesizers in his spare time, something which must’ve come in handy for “Bike Ride With U” an italo-banger closing out the record and sporting a very rubbery bassline. On his debut EP, Matsoaka (Mats Lundgren) has dug deep for samples. As a former record-dealer who sold 5000+ vinyls to rare-groove-collectors in Japan, he's used to dusty fingers. The transition from collecting to producing came naturally through collaboration within the duo ”Dagfest”, whose output, much like his own productions, is assembled through accumulating and mutating samples from various genres. Together they have created something like a musical equivalent of a Jazz Festival on rollerskates. Alone, he sounds more like a charter trip through the continent armed with a kaleidoscope. His fascination for discovering unheard sounds goes hand in hand with his curiosity for putting them within new soundscapes. For instance, ”Clouds in The Coffee” might sound incoherent at first listen, until discovering the common denominator, the 70ies. So sit back, relax, fasten seatbelts and have your order! Matsoaka will take you on a trip through genres as ”Cosmic Lambada”, ”Kraut-Trance” ,”House-Of-Oldies-House” and "Horror Disco". Captain says, -please try the Dirty Martini with blue cheese stuffed olives! In the near future, expect more barely-believable-genres from Mats.

For it's next release, the freshly minted Disco Milk Records welcomes Super Paolo - one half of legendary disco-duo "Tutto Matto". The labels stated goal is to push the traditional production techniques, recording practises and live studio musicians and vintage synthesizers of the classic Disco era.

Super Paolo's previous work needs no introduction with big tracks like "In Your Shadow" or "Cosmic Trip" and previous hits like" "Take My Hand" all continuing the long held traditions of Disco, Soul-funk, and Afro-cosmic grooves with a modern dance approach.

Joining Super Paolo on this record we have a stunning remix from Baldelli & Dionigi. Their brilliant reworking really takes the originals vibe and gives it their well known and defined sound.

The roots of the story were buried in the depths of time, ancient knowledge lost the the ages, the origin was unknown....

Yellow Island are set to release a new EP from Alt.Aire - a beautifully crafted showcase of some of the most elegant house music that we've heard in a while. The story behind the release is perhaps best told by the label and people behind the project itself..

"Origin is Alt.Aire's very first track: it came about whilst demoing parts of a live jam using a looping setup. Usually dads tell you to turn the volume down when you make loud music, but not Nick Woolfson (former Mock & Toof and Teng Records Records label boss), father of the brothers duo. Instead, after hearing the track, he suggested doing a remix with his project Metropolitan Soul Museum alongside Filippo Rocco. The MSM' remix turned out to be very complimentary to Origin, moving away from the original's soulful vibe and going more towards a dark 4/4 cut. Sometimes it's beautiful how music moves across generations.

Filippo, having heard both tracks, came up with the idea of pairing them with an MSM original that was already having interest shown in it by labels and suggested Alt.Aire remix that track. A Family Affair EP was born.

The two pairs got in touch with a few labels, one of which was Brazil's Yellow Island, a label that's quickly establishing its name in the international scene and as they were looking for something fresh for their new series they decided that the Family Affair EP had found a home on their label."

Following the success of the first two releases, Where Were We is back with the third one. This one is to commemorate the project's third birthday this February. 
Frenchman, Rennes-based, Blaise Balda will be a completely new name for the most, but ardent diggers already know that he did one release on REES' Paradiso Records a few months ago. 
Exploring and penetrating similar sonic avenues of it's predecessor, "Data Dreams" EP will take you on a wavy, retrofuturistic journey. Harnessing the computative power of quantum machines, blast-passing through myriads of electronic boards and circuits, it will carry you to a neon-lit metropolis from the future. Rather uptempo beats, punchy kicks, warm and uplifting melodies will leave you wondering whether all this was real or just a dream from which you don't wanna wake up.

Born in Crete, warped to London for 6 years and gave it up in 2006 for Athens. Can’t live without moustaches, vintage clothes, high heels and italo Disco!
Her crowd loyally follows her and comprises of fanatic extras from episodes of Dynasty, Joan Collins hairdressers, enchanted dancers permanently vogueing.
Boring bio: Picked up the phone one day called a local radio station and demanded to go on air, all at the tender age of 14. She was soon given her very own grrrrl rock show for two years along with her best friend. After a long break from broadcasting she next picked up her records while studying in London in 2000, at the student bar of her halls of residence. This gave her the chance to test different styles and genres and to learn how to beat match the hard way on some busted up turntables and cd decks.
Three years later the parties started! With a brief stint as resident dj at the underground DISCOnection after parties in London’s East End, other apearrances include, a guest appearance at Moon alongside Wandson Maxx and guerilla djing at the Redlight after party.
It’s now October 2006 in Athens and it seemed that by chance her path crosses that of the Amateur boyz. And so began a residency with the boyz at a russian disco in Athens from December 2006 till June 2007 and with an urban mobile party for the winter of 2007-08. Another residency emerged right after the last party of the first season in one of Athens largest mainstream clubs Motel with their D.I.R.T.Y. parties and since then various other locations, parties, events including Yes it Does!Sure it Does!, Earthdance festival Athens, kormoranos, Wrapped in Plastic and many more.
Mid 2010 she is joined by d:tek and Tareq, in forming a new dj team, Sally Spektra and accompanying “fashion” blog on Sallyspektra.com
After more than 14 years a return to radio production has finally come up with the creation of new Greek web radio station WaveRadio.gr and her show “Dancing Madly Backwards” which fuses italo disco, 80s pop, new wave and more “modern” sounds alongside guest dj sets.

Her newest project is called <a href="http://soundcloud.com/fascination_music">fascination!</a> with fellow dj/producer ELIOT!
