Continuing their slow and steady release schedule, @bienvenue-records are back with their third record in as many years. Our pick ‘Refuge’ is best suited to the end of the night or alternatively the hazy after-hours that follow.

Time was tight and being late seemed like a real possibility. She wiped the sweat from her brow and took a deep inhale; anybody who knew her well would attest to her efficient and timely manner. Her day had already been fuelled by anxiety and this was simply the cherry on the cake. Tardiness was not even in her vocabulary, so on these extremely rare occasions, her mind went into meltdown...

Milanese duo Ltd Colours take care of the first release of 2022 on French producer and Rinse resident Clad's Grid imprint. The four tracks on Patterns broaden the label's musical palette; while rhythm is a huge focus in every track, the EP touches on different styles and moods. Imbued with tension and euphoria, the release meanders through hypnotic polyrhythms, percussive bass cuts and revving electro.

PREMIERE: Ltd Colours - ProjectSerjjjj [Grid]

With a fair amount of pride, Warning presents the debut EP of emerging artist JCow. Four fresh cuts that will stand the test of time. Opening with high energetic roller Magma on the A side, accompanied by Purity of Spirit, an uplifting basement Rave anthem. On the flip things get more twisted with Groove Ryder, a melange of funky Breakz, Trance and Trip-Hop. The Acid Fiend Mix of formerly digitally released Rave Patrol is completing this record with an overboarding composition of drums and JCow’s own guitar.

There was a flickering glow which dazzled and sparkled atop the water of the lake. The last of the summer sunlight was beaming down warm and hot on the open expanse as swimmers took deep breaths and swam in what would be the last of the season.

It was magical up here in the mountains, some called it a zen like paradise. He’d spent many months here, sat by the side of the lake, sketching and drawing the sights and things he saw before him.

Never had he imagined that it might all come to an end quite so quickly for soon he would be back home amongst the tall buildings and the concrete constabulary.
 
Ozel AB is a producer who has released an array of forward thinking electronic and club focussed EP’s on the likes of Workshop, Lobster Theremin and Third Ear.

Now he is launching his own record label, an opportunity for him to showcase recent material and explore new sounds. The first EP features four tracks, with this being the A1 taken from the record.

in the puddle of the winter that has passed, a reflection of a young girl holding a flower appears. her name is Dhalia Karma.

Konfusius the wise, had defined the human nature through a beautiful parable.

He said that everything humans need in their lives is a bread and a flower. They need the bread so they can survive, and they need a flower so that they have a reason to survive.

The flower is a symbol for meaning of the beauty in nature and the mystical motives in which it operates. It is a symbol for creation and internal observance, and for the never ending journey of curiosity, of the strange and the imaginary.

The bread is a symbol for matter, the desire of particles to beat and exist, and for the energy that allows a human to live in the physical conditions.

Dahlia Karma is the bubbling stew of the absurd, that represents a desire to contradict the feeling of losing one’s ground.
From these ideas, we asked a small group of artists who excite us to create a common meaning together, in the form of this compilation.

The sun shone bright over the town, leaving the green spaces scorched and dry. It was that balmy kind of heat that made your clothes cling to your body and forced you to constantly mop your brow; she didn’t mind much, she felt at her most content when she was in the sun - it was her happy place. As soon as autumn rolled around the thought of the impending winter forced her into hibernation mode, she didn’t care much for the biting cold and crisp mornings. When spring came she’d emerge once again, only the sun held that power…

Seoul-based imprint Reach out Records are on a mission to raise funds for local causes whilst shining a light on artists from the country’s underground music scene. So far the non-profit imprint has supported projects and initiatives like Angel House, a residence for disabled people; their friend Tarek’s cancer treatment; and homeless support group PLUR. After a four year hiatus they return with their fourth VA release, ‘For The Youth’, which features music from Yetsuby, DJ Botermelk, Korea Town Acid and more, covering electro, acid, breaks, bass and more. This time they’re raising money for local charity, DDing Dong, who help support LGBTQIA+ teens in South Korea by providing them with counselling, shelter and support.

Her mind was neither here nor there today; everything had become a big mush of half-finished tasks, immediate deadlines and last minute responsibilities. Trying to put them into some kind of decipherable order was a task in itself, one that would require an amount of focus and concentration that she couldn't muster up at this precise moment. For now, her thoughts would have to remain a tangled web, a scramble of words and memories all chucked in the blender and jumbled beyond recognition. 

Hot on the heels of a release from label boss Furious Frank, Adelaide-based label Mind Dance call on the skills of a veteran of the Australian electronic music scene, Andy Rantzen. Active since the early 90s, both solo and as part of the duo Itch-E and Scratch-E alongside Paul Mac, the Sydney hailing producer follows releases for the likes of 4-4-2 Music, Efficient Space and Ken Oath with Return To The Source, a seven-track album of recordings made between 1997 and 2020. Crafted using his hardware set up, the music is raw, stripped back, deep and percussive, touching on machine funk, electro and house.

PREMIERE: Andy Rantzen - The Blender [Mind Dance]

SPF 50, real name Stephan Kimbel Olson, is a resident of the longstanding Bob & Shirley party, runs the Professional Music label, and has graced New York’s finest sound systems with his deep, rolling club sets. In his numerous roles - DJ, engineer, party promoter, label head, producer and dancer - Stephan has become an essential contributor to the city's nightlife culture, a fixture in our extended sonic community.

Stephan's first release on Bliss Point, Social Life, might well be a transmission from a nearby dimension; perhaps a collection of club artifacts peaking from just behind the thin veil
