Melodize are back with their 18th release, this time with label boss Beartrax in the driver’s seat.

There once was a creature called Beartrax, Who dwelt in the land of Melodize,
With music opaque and remixes so fine,
That Pagliara himself would often opine:
“How splendid, how jumbly, how strangely divine!”

This Beartrax would dance on his tail in the night,
While playing a tune that was wondrously bright,
Opaque were his melodies, twisted and queer,
That made all the Melodize creatures draw near.

“Oh! Beartrax, dear Beartrax,” they’d cheerfully say,
“Your Pagliara Remixes make our hearts sway!
So splendiferous, rumbly, melodiously strange,
From basslines to treble, the whole tonal range!”

But Beartrax just smiled with his whiskers akimbo,
And twirled seven times in a musical limbo,
For musical nonsense was all that he knew,
In Melodize land where the sky was dark blue.

We’re premiering Massimiliano Pagliara’s synth-heavy, bassy rework of Opaque… Belter.

It were as if the clouds were taking everything in from up above, they watched it all. As the day wore on they meandered across the sky, watching the world spin slowly below.

How could it be that everything beneath happened so fast? The earth was breathing heavily under the strain.

Soon it might all be gone, the clouds might be all that were left behind.

Little fluffy bubbles floating delicately against a backdrop of deep breathy blue.

ANiML have enlisted a stellar assortment of producers to remix material from their record. Seth Troxler, Mathew Jonson, Galcher Lustwerk all offer up imaginative alternatives but Seth’s was our pick of the bunch.

On June 6th, CHLOÉ and her acclaimed label Lumière Noire release the second volume of their Flash mini-VA series, welcoming a dynamic lineup including Costello, LAUER, Paresse, and label favourite Destiino.

As the visionary behind Lumière Noire, CHLOÉ has long been committed to curating a space where cutting-edge electronic music can flourish. With a keen ear for innovation, the Parisian DJ/producer has built a diverse roster of forward-thinking artists whose sounds are equally suited to art galleries and installations as they are to clubs and festivals.

The release will be previewed by LAUER’s single H00V, dropping May 22nd, ahead of the full EP on June 6th.

Costello – “Fresh Flesh”
Opening the VA is Bordeaux producer Costello, known for his versatile and genre-blending style. Fresh Flesh is a jagged and unpredictable ride, driven by fractured melodies and eerie organ strings. With nods to dark disco and minimal house, it sets an intriguingly edgy tone for the release.

CHLOÉ & Destiino – “Venere”
A long-time collaborator of CHLOÉ, Yuksek returns to his Destiino alias for an exclusive joint track. Venere is feverish and choppy from the outset, featuring abstract melodic clicks, hissing synths, chunky bass, and mystifying effects that combine into a robotic, hypnotic soundscape.

Sayne and Escalated Edits have known each other for quite some years already. Escalated Edits is the new alias of Remy Unger, who recently released a powerful EP on Ben Sims' esteemed Hardgroove label.

Joining that momentum is Sayne, the fresh techno moniker of Nuno Dos Santos.
Their latest joint EP for Sungate came to life during a creative retreat in a secluded house surrounded by nature. They chose to isolate themselves to fully focus on music, and to unwind. Over the course of their stay, the duo crafted four dynamic tracks that now form the essence of this release.

Through 4 club-focused originals, the duo hone in on precise harmonic stasis, entrancing minimalism, and a resulting groove larger than the sum of its parts.

Deeply tipped for those in search for the essence of techno, the contents of this EP are a surefire floor burner at all hours, on stages of all sizes.

A slow-burning descent into the groove, The Place is built on a foundation of slinking basslines, razor-sharp percussion, and a creeping crescendo. Third Culture & Cafius strip things back to the essentials—subdued yet insistent, like a whispered invitation into the night. At its core, David LeSal’s vocals act as both guide and instigator, weaving between the steady pulse with an effortless allure. His delivery is intimate yet distant, seductive yet detached—repeating like a lingering thought in the back of your mind. Roe Deers takes this mystique and mutates it further, warping the vocal into an eerie, spectral presence that haunts the off-kilter groove. It’s club music that exists in the in-between spaces—shadowy corners and neon-lit mirages, where genre and reality fracture.
