Tofistock has become one of our go to labels since their first 'Movie Makers' VA back in 2018; we've watched the imprint come into its own, building a close-knit family of artists whilst refining their sound, which swirls around hypnotic trance, low slung trip hop and organic rhythms. For their next instalment, label heads Olsvangèr and MYKI keep it in the family. Alongside two solo cuts, another under Ols' DJ Headshot alias in partnership with Matris, they round off the release together under their new project Babylon X with trance-tinged title track 'Hyper Love'.

For the 17th release on the label, Naarm-based DJ/producer Solar Suite explores the playful liminality of dusk and dawn, taking locked grooves and prog sounds as the tools to transform the strange into something exhilarating.

‘Clear Skies’ comprises 3 high-nrg club-ready tracks and 2 slow chuggers to balance out the up-tempo rhythms, all with dedicated circumstances to be plucked out from record bags and presented to a willing crowd. The only question left: what occasions personal to the selector will they rear their heads?

Hailing from Saint-Petersburg, Russia, Maruwa makes first contact on SCDD010 with broken retroactive sonics that implore body movement.

A classically-trained pianist and child of the 90’s / early 00’s, Maruwa’s debut EP is an interplanetary mission; linking emotive IDM atmospherics and early rave tropes with energetic breakbeat.

In the early nineties, directly influenced by the Summer of Love of 1988, Florentine Riccardo Falsini began his project I Believe-a miscellaneous collection of records, compilations, and collaborations-released through his label Interactive Test (co-run with brother Franco Falsini).
These sounds would eventually reach Vancouverbased producer AVR (Avery La Rochelle) in the summer of 2018. Compelled by Riccardo's legacy as a producer and a deejay, Avery reached out to the Italian producer. A friendship formed that would see them collaborate on various dance events in Vancouver, as well as their Outside Of Time EP, a reverie of hallucinatory trance music. Over the past year, the duo recorded these tracks with the free spirit of early rave culture in
mind.
‘Outside Of Time’ is certified dance floor therapy that inspires the listener to believe in the power of love and music.

The steadily brilliant French producer Nathan Melja - who's made the rounds between choice outlets over the past half decade, from Mister Saturday Nights to Antinote, via Ninja Tune offshoot Technicolour and Opal Tapes, seems to have learnt Bruce Lee's lesson by heart, and his seamlessly fluid, no-nonsense debut foray on KOC is here to potently cement his status as one of Europe's number one club trailblazers, and one that knows all too well how to turn any dancefloor into an infinity pool of pure liquid euphoria.

Drawing its name from the physiological and psychological process that results in a confusion of one's sensory perceptions, 'Synesthesia' is indeed the kind of club single that shall trigger off massive reaction amongst right-minded bipeds and chromakey house suckers. Straightforward club business done right, Melja's original is a vivid kaleidoscope of skittish drums, swampy bass stabs and a well-rounded, supremely curvy synthwork, tailored to take ravers on a flash journey through space and time without the help of Richard Branson or Elon Tusk (pun intended).

Called in on remix duty, TTT affiliate and Incienso co-founder Anthony Naples delivers a more fragmented and ambientish variation, though functional and club-ready in its own right. Brushing even wider verbed-out pad tapestries for your brain to wander in, the track expands to deeper organic horizons with a field-depth that can not but recall that of the KLF and Bochum Welt's emotional soundscaping. Meanwhile, Karenn half Pariah takes care of whelming us deep into more techno-friendly terrains, true to his ever masterly touch for epic buildups and multi-level textural innovation, bringing up the acidic phlegm of Melja's original as he treats us to a carefully orchestrated ballet of synthetic whorls, contemplative chords and propulsive drum programming.

Synesthesia (Pariah Remix)

Coastal Haze welcome the new decade with one of the most exciting artists to come out of the UK of recent in @adampits. Known for his intricate productions, this will be Pits' first release on the label having already gained support from the likes of Ciel, Batu and Call Super. "International Wafter" offers up four club weapons, two peak time whompers and two ethereal burners.

London-based party throwers GODDEZZ venture into new territories with the launch of their eponymous record label. Hailing from Saint Petersburg, Russia, Maruwa has gone from strength to strength with a debut on Mall Grab's Steel City Dance Discs imprint and an EP for Lobster Theremin. True to form she showcases her highly potent, rave-influenced sounds as she contributes to the 23-track containing V.A. package with dreamy trance cut 'Ultraworld'.
