@XXXTheLabel is a new dutch label created by a bunch of friends that run the eponym "XXX" club nights in Amsterdam. We supported their very cool first release by "Jack Pattern" through our infamous Youtube channel and now comes in a few weeks the second one by Lipsky brother's Simple Symmetry . We do really like their unique fresh blend and premiered not so long ago their track Kalimba on "Cosmic Pint Glass". But to change a bit the game, here is the Marvin & Guy's Afterhour Mix, a long 10 mn epic cut you'd already wish to hear at 6am. in a summer beach festival on those "hands in the air" euphoric moments ! There are many moments which can be recalled from the days of summer past. The dying embers of the sun would soon leave this place but for now they would dance in the golden glow beneath the trees. A roar would erupt from a small crowd as a drum banged between the leaves. Feet moved pacily in time and "Ciquita" they would chant euphorically for the whole damn world to hear. This one was an ode to summer madness, an ode to summer dreaming, an ode to summer past.

Ransom Note's very own "Ciquita" has been doing the rounds this summer and has appeared in some far flung locations. Bawrut has soundtracked our 2016, we're not sure about yours. However, now, as we enter the dying embers of the breezy, sun kissed months we unveil a new approach. Our good friend Moscoman steps up to deliver a remix to see in the Autumn as part of a new EP.

Initially described as “superlative 25th century electronic exotica” by Cowboy Rhythmbox themselves, the fourth EP from Phantasy’s in-house trouble and hitmakers received continued support from top jocks including Dixon, Jackmaster and Marcel Dettmann. Now, it’s dynamic lead track is rejigged, expanded upon and shot through with analogue energy by two equally inventive producer pairings.

Fellow outsiders on the inside of the house of house, Israel’s finest Red Axes take the first turn, coaxing the cosmos out of the original and allowing the bewildering vocal samples to lead the way through waves of more than pleasurable cosmic tension. Soon, with the timing just right, feet to pedals and strobe to hand, the pair unleash a series of distorted guitar licks that blow dust off the stacks, even throwing in a sharp blast of their trademark surrealist vocals for extra freaky FX.

On the flip, Marvin & Guy zone out and hone in on the original’s EBM-indebted elements to contribute a trippy, wave-riding electro rework that oscillates irresistibly. Teasing listeners with a playful, almost naive synth line, the mood shimmers instead with uncompromising acid, as the pair ultimately push the modulars into strange and hypnotic territories to get lost in.

Humans are a strange species. They can send a people into space, they can make vast habitats in seemingly inhospitible areas, they can split atoms. However, they have a penchant for overpopulation, war and hubris. Why are they such a pain?
Madric Based Rotten City Records present Damon Jee and Snem K's latest EP, Dear Humans. 
Damon AKA Jerome Da Silva has been on a run of hot form since recent remixes for ROAM and Night Noise and that run continues on his collaboration with Snem K which features remixes from Mugwump and Demian.
The title track is a record which keeps the groove rolling while taking on subject matter which could bum out a dancefloor; however, bubbly echo effects Damon's trademark beefy kick drum and Snem's overlapped vocal delivery ensures that no one will leave.
Big dramatic bassy punches sound as much like a war cry as it does an invitation to dance. Delay ridden toms and a booming rolling bassline accompany a vocal which questions humanity, at a point where questioning humanity is probably the most apt thing to do.

Alex Niggemann’s forward thinking label Aeon recently celebrated five years at the forefront of cutting edge music.
To k​ick off 2019, Kincaid makes his debut on the label: the EP is the first in a string of exceptional music to come this year.

The four track EP kicks off in style with ​On The Back Of A Serpent​. An Italo-tinged number with Kincaid's trademark live sounding drum programming. It’s an instant club rocker with trippy vocal snippets that draw the listener into an ethereal, spine tingling breakdown. ​Stare Into My Monstera begins with a driving groove and dissonant Rhodes, building subtly but relentlessly towards a euphoric Nord lead motif which reappears throughout. A track that will undoubtedly find favour with the discerning Burner crowd. ​Papoose starts with middle eastern influenced sounds and insistent Timpani accents, before locking into a groove which hypnotises and intrigues in equal measure. Finally ​It Said (feat. Sinàl) is a darker affair featuring the sinister vocals of both Kincaid and Sinàl themselves. A ‘lights off / strobe on’ growler, this is one for fans of late night trippy moments - and further displays the diverse number of styles which Kincaid is becoming well known for.

Kincaid may be a fresh face to many but those in the know will be familiar with his unique brand of diverse and genre bending sounds. Named after one of Croatia's most beautiful coastal prominades Pula-based artist Time To Sleep makes his Disco Halal Singles Club debut with Lungo Mare. The take captures some of the artist's musical influences and comes with a rather funky almost rock-ish bass line, which is enriched with a bleeping lead synth that in the course of the track is groomed with a glitch adding even more raw- and edginess to it. It's those little details that Time To Sleep prepared Lungo Mare with that keeps the listener hooked to the track and making it sound intriguing. But in all the aforementioned roughness Time To Sleep's approach has beauty shining through and possibly describing the twelve kilometer lasting path Lungo Mare, when having overcome as well as to take on some burden before rewarded with beautiful sundowners and views over Adriatic Sea.

Time To Sleep's single Lungo Mare will be released on Disco Halal Singles Club on May 1st, 2020.
