After sharing a Mexico mini-tour together in late 2022, they decided to join forces combining their mutual love for all things acid and high energy. 

And we’re super glad they did ! This first collaboration is undeniably a heavy one, a fun and ecstatic dancefloor banger made for peak time NRGY moods.

To spice things up even more, Belgian master Vhyce offers not one but two hot remixes, bringing in his signature bassline for two proper groovy and euphoric versions.

The magnificent Bawrut returns to Ransom Note Records with an incredible new collection of interpretations of his music from the past couple of years, Remix Pack EP. Featuring a cast of the finest producers the underground currently has to offer, this four track whirlwind of club pounders exhibits everything that is great about electronic music in 2024.

First up on remix duties is the magnificent Marc Romboy, taking Que Quiere Usted by the scruff of the neck and straightening it out into an absolute dance floor stomper! Originally a hand clap laden, frenetically jolly, five minute romp, Marc has taken the original concept and upped the techers chug factor by 200%!

Always pushing beyond her comfort zone and exploring new horizons in production, this new year will certainly come as a new challenge for Matisa, and Correspondant are super proud to see her kicking off 2024 with her ‘Baby Disco’ EP on the label. 
 
Through her musical journey and especially in her recent busy months, we can easily feel the intense passion, dedication and excitement in everything she does. Trusting her creative process, she’s taking the right time to craft and share the kind of music that hits deep and touches the soul, by bringing back memories and creating new ones in an instant.
 
The many experiences and connections shared with the crowd behind the decks are Matisa’s main sources of inspirations for these two tracks, as she explains :
 
“The energy that fuels ‘Baby Disco' emanates from the passion and excitement of my audience. It is this very energy that drives me to create and perform. Within each of us lies a powerful force that ignites when we engage in our passions. For me, that force is awakened when I am behind the booth, observing my audience move and groove to the beat of my music. ‘Baby Disco' seeks to ignite that same energy in all who listen to it.”
 
Both emotionally charged and calling back to the late 90s era, ‘Baby' is a catchy and club-ready jam with eurodance feeling, while ‘Disco' is a blissful piano house banger, perfectly fitted for radiant and joyful dances.
 
Chloé Robinson & DJ ADHD bring the sound of London to this EP with their remix. Following acclaimed collab EPs and explosives mixes blending techno, electro, grime and UK garage, the impeccable pair got their hands on ‘Baby' and delivered a bass-heavy, incredibly infectious club banger.
 
And to wrap things up, Melbourne selector, producer, remixer and rising star Aldonnabrings her always thrilling groove to ‘Disco', flawlessly throwing balearic heat, prog house euphoria, and touches of acid-trance to the mix.

“Coup de Foudre” is a French idiom referring to love at first sight. With 'Day Dream' they created a Detroit-inspired emotive house music hymn, depicting a dreamy feeling of "in-between realities".

CDF are the DJ/ producers Alex Coly and Chuck Black, an Amsterdam based French duo who share the same philosophy about music. Their style ranges from house and deep-house to electronic, African percussions and beats with a techno twist.

Alex Coly and Chuck Black individually started their musical journey in 2017 building up their act and technical skills following their encounter with the amazing, multi talented Amsterdam music scene. The two young men have since then kept on fanning their own flames throughout Europe and the United States all the while developing their joint brand, always aiming to give their audience a soulful and memorable moment.

Melómana opens the year with a compilation that brings together producers who have marked and defined the musical orientation of the label. Its reference 039 is not only a testimony of long-term work, it is also the announcement of what is to come this year 2024.

The compilation brings together songs by artists such as Panka Panka, Azaria, Yahaira, JGR, Jackwasfaster, Ludviq, Nick Hanzo, Macaulay, Mijo, Pastor in Vegas, Rubinskee, Ademarr, Joseeph. Established talents on the scene, as well as emerging projects, offering an approach as designed for the track as it is for home listening.

Altogether, we find fused rhythms and rich soundscapes that lead us to an exploration as fluid as it is captivating. The album offers us a dynamic contrast that shows the versatility of a timeless project, created from talent, meticulousness and sonic coherence.The level of production of these guys is intense but, on the other hand, the care of the sounds they release is at the level of those who do things because they want and with the time they really need. The tracks have strength and jump over the prevailing conventions, knowing how to avoid the most recurrent rawness and darkness, seeking dance
but without predictable tricks and without exceeding an understandable level of experimentation suitable for the dance floor.

We could say that each producer summarizes their intentions in this compilation, seeking novelty without losing nostalgia, that they play with the genre but without falling into predictable tricks, nor into the arrogance of those who get wrapped up in a genre or mannerism to demonstrate that They have personality. And this is just the beginning, because this year Melómana is going to bring us many surprises.

Oslo's deep house hero Henrik Villard returns with a new EP ‘Going Down’ on Snick Snack Music.

Henrik Villard's local scene success has rather burgeoned in recent years, with his name now making a mark on the international stage. His music has come on labels like Beatservice and Mhost Likely and blends classic and golden-age sounds with new school production techniques, lo-fi samples and groovy bass that carries listeners to the stars.

Opener 'Birdcall' does just that with its pulsing synth lines spraying about over surging house drums that are sure to lift the dance floor off its feet. Rich pads flesh out the details and make this one as emotive as it is dynamic. 'Going Down' brings plenty of psychedelic colour as sublime synth sequences rain down over the crisp, broken drum patterns. It's got a future disco feel that is impossible not to love. 'Redlight' is more loose and playful as the synths dance about with real soul and the prickly drums undulate to perfection. It's a perfect fusion of astral colour and human warmth that brings the dance floor together and closes the release in style.

Villard once again combines genuine musicality with a real understanding of dance floor grooves on this fresh new EP.
