Giuliano Rodrigues is a renowned Brazilian DJ and music producer, widely recognized for his significant contributions to the Dub Techno genre. Born with an innate passion for music, Giuliano channeled his talent and creativity to craft a unique and captivating sound that deeply resonates with genre enthusiasts.

In 2012, Giuliano founded his first digital label, @flowingmovementmusic. Through this label, he not only promoted his own music but also elevated the profile of numerous other artists within the genre. His commitment to sonic excellence and dedication to cultivating a vibrant community of Dub Techno producers and fans have solidified his position as a central figure in the music scene.

In 2020, amid the pandemic, he launched DUBGIU, followed by Afterdub in 2023 and @dublucid in 2024—all focused on deep tech, deep house, minimal, and, of course, Dub Techno.

Giuliano has also released tracks on @lucidflow, a label founded by @nadjalind and @helmut-ebritsch, also known as @klartraum. The duo has produced remixes of Giuliano’s tracks, showcasing mutual respect and collaboration within the Dub Techno community. Two of Giuliano’s songs were even played at the iconic Burning Man festival. Giuliano also had the opportunity to remix Klartraum's track Manifestation, which has garnered over 60,000 plays on Spotify.

Additionally, Giuliano was featured on the popular YouTube channel GENTLEMAN, which boasts over 400,000 subscribers. In a dedicated video, @gentlemantracks selected ten tracks released by Giuliano under DUBGIU and created a one-hour set featuring his music. The channel also added two of his tracks to its top Spotify playlists.

Giuliano’s music portfolio extends to @superordinate-music, founded by @naetek. He has collaborated with Nae:Tek on several tracks, demonstrating his versatility and ability to synergize with other artists. Most recently, Giuliano released new music on @piranha-siberia, continuing to contribute fresh and innovative sounds to the Dub Techno scene.

Through these platforms and collaborations, Giuliano Rodrigues continues to solidify his reputation as a prolific and influential figure in Dub Techno, constantly pushing the genre's boundaries and connecting with a global audience.

Currently, with countless remixes, singles, compilations, and his entire body of work focused on Dub Techno, Giuliano has centralized all his releases under one label: DUBLUCID.

PR: The latest microcastle release welcomes the unique and exceptionally talented Upercent to the label for his debut EP. Born in Valencia, this thought provoking, emotive artist has steadily developed a distinctive style that fuses organic and analog sounds with masterful creativity, perfectionism and constant innovation, making him one of the most naturally talented producers to emerge from the Spanish scene. Upercent’s uncanny ability to tell captivating stories through his music has seen him evolve and raise the creative bar with outstanding releases on Kompakt, Diynamic, Monaberry and Endless. Now making his microcastle debut with the three track artist showcase ‘Vuit’, Upercent presents some of the most eclectic productions of his career alongside a remix from Chaim.

The EP begins with its title track and first showcase piece ‘Vuit’. Built on a deep, meditative groove, the piece develops with a unique hypnotic charm. Upercent’s use of distinctive percussive elements, eastern motifs and clever dub styling, creates an instantly memorable introduction to a pure master at work. From its metronomic chiming base, with ‘Tango’ it’s the arrangement of organic designs that makes yet another undeniably original creation. In fact, it’s a supremely delicious smorgasbord of afro elements that masterfully builds towards the unveiling of a heart-melting piano in the final act, revealing the unrivalled steamy aspects of the classic South American dance to perfection.

Take a treated guitar along with a multitude of distinctive elements, add some jaw-droppingly, seductive tones, and breathe everything deeply into a stripped back arrangement laced with analog stabs, while drawing on the experimental attitude of freeform jazz and you have the third offering ‘Submissive’. But, Upercent’s masterstroke here is to collaborate and introduce the sublime vocals of Dwayzo Lawrence aka KnowKontrol, from Syracuse, NY. This multi-genre artist has a complementary, experimental attitude that channels his inimitable ability to inject an already profound track with authentic soul. A precious talent that has already seen him collaborate with some of the electronic world’s finest innovators and labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Drumcode, Rebellion and Keinemusik.

To complete this already creative package, microcastle has enlisted the remix talents of Berlin-based artist Chaim. The renowned musician, DJ, producer and Tel Aviv native has long been one of electronic music's most fascinating artists. Having previously remixed the likes of Art Department, Pete Tong and Ellen Allien, his organic, forward-thinking music has found a home on BPitch Control, Cocoon, Culprit, Disco Halal, Rumors and Turbo. As an artist bound by no genre, but tuned into expressions of liberation and joy, Chaim creates music that is truly universal and is the perfect choice to re-interpret ‘Submissive’. Chaim nails down a backbone of tough, incessant, hypnotic beats, complemented by a seductive blend of evolving, tribal percussion, while reprocessing KnowKontrol’s vocal into a mesmerizing, magical spell, that forms the perfect finale to this stunning four track audio adventure. Upercent’s ‘Vuit EP’ is a showcase that offers a unique insight into the creative, musical mind of an artist whose talent knows no boundaries.

The behaviour was closely monitored by closed circuit television. Each individual was under surveillance and would be for a long time to come, it had been their own choice, their own decision and the prize at the end of the experiment would act as their reward. In the meantime they were simply a human pattern, a pathological test by which science would hope to benefit in the long run. Inside the lab a group of observers watched on with promise and intrigue, who would fold first?

'The new and enigmatic Silence Path debuts on Loot Recordings and captures the harmonious universe of experimental sounds, overflowing with emotion and spiritual feelings. The package features three originals and remixes from Powel, Quatri and Yoni Yarchi.

The title track "In Perfect Harmony", from which the name of the EP is derived from the original track "PAZUL VIII", published on Soundcloud for Piano Day Playlist 2018 by Nils Frahm on 29.03.2018, © Pazul 2018 All Rights Reserved". Silence Path's interpretation of PAZUL VIII, resumes in a subtle and hypnotic track, with an evolving soundscape of the beach, echoing percussion, tinkling pianos and lush pads.

The title track "Illusion" combines playful melodies and warm bass lines, creating a breezy, summer-like vibe. The creative genius of Powel returns to Loot and delivers a version that highlights the original melodies, layered on top of heavenly string arrangements and an uplifting bass line.

The title track "Nebula" focuses on a memorable melody that's blended with the gentle sounds of nature, ethereal voices and rising strings to create a musical story. Quatri turns up the excitement with a cosmic feel, cleverly distorting the melodic hook with smart effects and swelling, ecstatic synths. Next up is Yoni Yarchi's remix, a magical journey of emotional frequencies and euphoric pads where the original elements shine.'
