From longtime supporters to providing an essential Facebook group to share club cuts from the community, we are super excited to welcome JEROME to the Sounds of Yeke series. 
The Pennsylvania based label was started as a way to push music with ideas that weren't based in genre or popularity. Founded in 2016 by Matt Lutz,  JEROME is an experimental label and platform, looking to push the boundaries of music through audio and visual projects.The label started out as a simple mixfile series, focusing its efforts on lesser known talents and allowing them to be heard. The mixfile series developed into a label and has done releases with such artists as @worli, @MortenHD, @bleiddd, @anonymouscomplicity and more.

The mix features punchy selections from @djnarcisorsprod @dj-firmeza @ckvibez @wushanmin & more. Fire selections start to finish.

The 7 track album spans from hard-hitting, Trance-inspired Chicago House music to dizzying and masterfully chopped up footwork tracks with Boylan's unique style of hard cuts, unusual samples, and heavily compressed drill patterns. The album transports you straight to the dance floor at 2am. Flying high amongst the clouds he watched the world spin down below, a million flickering lights and a civilisation unaware of what lay beyond in outer space. He soared and raced his tiny plane as fast as he could, accelerating into the outer reaches of a galaxy far away. He was simply trying to kiss the sky, to embrace the cosmos and meet his maker in a whole new means. Life on earth was long gone...

Bennelux are a duo set to release a new album on Astigmatic Records, an album which pays homage to the glory days of hip hop whilst focussing firmly on the future and development of the footwork sound structure of the present. The pair explain the concept behind the record below:

"We wanted to go back in time and create something completely fresh and unique moving it to the current fast-moving field of juke and footwork descending from Chicago. Most of our songs started from samples that were previously being used in some of the classic hip-hop tunes that shaped our musical taste."
