Nearly two years on from their last Casino Edits outing and marking six years of the label itself, Casino Times return for Casino Edits 5.

The A is a beefed-up take on a punchy European disco staple. An infectious groove is coupled with fluttering arpeggios and a rigorous bassline that builds tension throughout to deliver some peak-time power.

Meanwhile on the flip, B1 brings synthesised and organic voices together with eerie melodies and a low slung beat, creating a rock-infused haze. B2 finishes the release off on a house tip, with a relentless percussive loop that bends between mind-melting FX and an uncompromising square wave bass.

Especial welcomes Kim Ann Foxman to debut on the label with an ode to the power of the moon. The sample heavy, acid vocal cuts no slack and shows Foxman confidently developing as a producer and is backed with a stellar set of remixes from Roza Terenzi, Dawl & Sween and Violet.

Revered by many as an on point clubber, dancer, singer, DJ and producer, her breakthrough in Hercules & Love Affair was a start, soon carving out her place as a solo artist and global DJ, while fitting in time to run the Firehouse - recently featuring Richard Sen and Kasra V - and SELF-TIMER labels - home to new project, Pleasure Planet. 

As veteran of the San Francisco 90s heyday, slipping breaks around a 4/4 kick is a blast of past meets acid future, as 303 meets M1, while Foxman's lyrics - written during the Blood Moon over London - extols the power of the tides, nature's internal and external flow. 

The remixes are a manner of breaks-heaven, as Roza Terenzi rips a steppas dub, Tone Dropout's Dawl and Sween master a latter day M25 anthem, before finally Violet, edits, strips, builds and takes things deep.

Ranging from balearic vibes to tropical percussions, this release shifts through different moods and blurry edges, building up a classy combination of rhythm and atmosphere.

James Bright has quietly been making blissful electronica for over ten years, working in his early days as Lux with Steve Miller where they enjoyed a notable release on Café Del Mar. Now James is one of the names to watch on the modern Balearica scene, turning out highly polished, sparkling downtempo music for a myriad of discerning labels. Not least Quattro Music, where his forthcoming 'Betamax' EP can be found which includes the standout 'Flying Tiger'. Cool bass touches, lazy metallic drums, ethnic chants and the all important loon sound all combine to wow audiences from the Meditteranean to the Adriatic.

A-Sim just launched his own label called Human Disease Network, focused on releasing electro / break / uk bass / techno music.
He takes care of the first release with a versatile five track EP between all those styles as a compilation of his past work on legendary label like R&S records or Rawax.
"La Vie Nocturne" is a kind of tribute to Drexciya's music, with a focus on melody. Keep following the guy and his label because everything coming from him is pretty refreshing.

From end to end, the lakefront thronged with the summer-starved, heady with the haze of solar rays and factor-50 fumes. Native sounds succumb to boombox battles, leaving an aftermath of syncopated cacophonies. Ravenous for human contact and a backdrop of hedonistic normality, she begins her nervous approach, wrangling a socially-distant spot to throw down a towel and a half-read novel. Through the ambient noise of collective voices and orbit of passersby, the tribal-contentment permeates her body more than the sun ever could.

Launching from NY-based label Our Starry Universe and landing directly into the beginning of summer is Birds of Pandæmonium’s ‘Days Go By’. The release is an oasis of sun-soaked nostalgia, featuring the original mix alongside two genre-shifted remixes by Bryan Mette and an instrumental. Our pick is the title track, dripping in sultry dark-wave-infused vocals sitting atop an instrumental containing as much life-affirming grandiosity as David Bowie’s ‘Heroes’.

This initiative tackles food waste and redistributes food surplus to charities helping provide meals to those in need in Italy, which are relied upon more than ever in response to this unprecedented moment of crisis.

Sus inicios se remontan a principios de los 90, realizando un programa de radio llamado La Hora Indie, donde sonaban grupos como Ministry, Nitzer Ebb, Pulp o New Order. 

Es un autentico apasionado de la música y coleccionista de discos, especialmente los de doce pulgadas. 

El primer contacto con una cabina fue en el año 93 en Carmín, pasando luego a Farmacia de Guardia, donde es residente desde su apertura.
Durante casi dos años llevando las riendas de la sesión matinal Da Funk, por la que pasaron los principales dj,s de Valladolid. 

Ha sido  promotor y residente de dos sesiones muy destacadas en la ciudad de Valladolid, hablamos de Click Clack Club y Circus, por donde pasaron artistas de primer nivel tanto nacionales, como internacionales, también ha sido residente de clubs como Subterfugio, Refugio, UHF, La Española Cuando Besa, Summun ademas de la residencia mensual que tuvo en Dr Wax de Madrid en el año 2.001 

Su música ha sonado en salas como:Fellini(Bcn),Flow(Huesca),Beatz y Submarino(Salamanca) en la casi totalidad de clubs de la ciudad de Valladolid, como Radiola, Asklepios, Mocco, La Lola, Rosarillo Club, Factory, La Traviata, Namaste, Loop ,Cafe del Sol,1.900, Crisol, Matadero…También cuenta con un proyecto llamado La Máquina del Tiempo, donde se revisan los clásicos de los 80 y 90.

En sus sesiones siempre busca el alma a la música, destacando sobre todo su conexión con la pista. En estos momentos ha vuelto a la radio con su programa habitación615 en Ibiza Sonica.
