We welcome back one of our own hometown heroes, Jonathan Kaspar. Through holding down a residency at the fabled Gewölbe club, to releases on Pets Recordings, Objektivity, Ouïe and our own KX imprint, Jonathan Kaspar has proved to be one of the most exceptionally gifted producers and DJ’s to emerge from Cologne in recent time.

Though the clubs have remained closed since he came to us with his Kompakt debut “Kante”, his inspiration clearly remains unwavered with “Muster EP”. An acid tinged groove throbs to incredible momentum on the title track “Muster”. Follow the heartbeat with “Alle” as Jonathan brings the electro funk forward with his first foray into using his own vocals. A French touched rumble bass gives “Beton” all the flow and more for those early hour moments we all are craving again. The closer “Heber” is a classic opener – a subtle percussion rhythm gets built around sky high synths and a sweet house high hat to warm up any night.

The digital version comes with a stripped down version of Beton!

Nobody's life was perfect but he started to think he'd been dealt a far worse hand than many others. Several toxic relationships, a myriad of lost jobs and unsuccessful opportunities, not to mention the countless mishaps, had seemed to be the dish of the day since his youth. Luck had never been on his side and things just didn't seem to go his way; he'd come to terms with living with it after all these years. 

Previously shrouded in mystery, Brother Nebula is the moniker of dance music veteran Lance Desardi who, over the last few years, has crafted cosmic and atmospheric breaks and house. He made his debut on Legwork back in 2018 with a collaborative EP alongside Solar, before quickly following it up with his first solo releases on the same label. Last year saw him land on Nick Höppner's Touch From A Distance, but now he makes a triumphant return to Legwork once again for The Physical World, an album of retro-futurist and interstellar electronics.

Logan wrote the song "Mentally Naked" for https://soundcloud.com/captainmustache , released on My Favorite Robot Records at the start of the pandemic. Running high on the Beatport dance charts, "Mentally Naked" release party in Paris was not possible. As an additional collaboration with Captain Mustache, VooCha sent over a song for remixing, then quickly filmed parts of a video in Hamburg. The song "Miss Your Boner" was recorded in a country house on the outskirts of Berlin. Nelly Ellinor's Purry Purry voice is off set by Logans trademark, below the relaxed vocal notch into an offset swinging along.
Melt down to the electro chilled sparkling hot "Miss Your Boner". We don't really know, is this a sexy, erotic song? Or are we being taken for a ride? Or both?

Do you miss CVBox? You are not alone. There are a lot of people that are longing for a new sign of life from this mysterious figure. Presumably, he’s wandering around in the forests of the Zittauer Gebirge or is selling mushrooms from Saturn at a Dresden based farmers market. Anyway, the number of CVBox-aficionados keeps growing. And here’s the good news: Three years after his album SO IST ES IM NADELWALD on Uncanny Valley, there is a new EP called TeqNoTv coming up with music ready to soundtrack not only the sky-high amplitudes of your life.

The record opens up with VIO LINE, a rather straight Techno excursion that was recorded in one take in typical CVBox style. What is starting as an Acid narration for foresters evolves then into a Rave master class where even your techno-sceptical friends are picked up for a wild ride. SUPER 78 is CVBox to the bone with its dubby feel and a late lift off, accentuated by swirling synths.

Then you get TOTAL CV that is constantly shoveling its elements onto a sharp-edged pile of Techno bliss before it’s stripped down again by a dreamy symphony of synths. Finally, there is ON/OFF (AUTOETHER), a quick and dirty lesson in dance music on the edge of clinical purity and heart-warming atmosphere. There’s just no other Techno wizard that does things like CVBox does.

By the way: Die-hard fans can also look out for the digital bonus track XBVCO on Uncanny Valley’s Bandcamp.

Each day he needed to up the dose; he had to take it to the next level. This was now his only means of survival.

Belfast-based duo Black Bones came together through a shared love of collecting and spinning weird and wonderful sounds. After curating and releasing a highly tipped series of seven psychedelic disco 12”s, they make their way to Touch Sensitive Records for their debut EP consisting of four original club cuts, that explore the sleazy and dubbed out corners of industrial, house and new beat.
