Timo Deeprhythms is a Helsinki-based DJ, label owner, podcast curator, and producer. With a career spanning well over two decades, he has developed an exquisite and wide-ranging taste for all things electronic. A meticulous DJ capable of just about anything, his sets range from sun-kissed Balearic sounds to cosmic house, wonky breaks, electro, and hypnotic techno. As an avid crate digger, he’s always searching for unearthed music to share—be it old and forgotten or new and emerging.

Timo is the founder of @echocentricrecords, co-runs the @r.a.n.d.muzik × Echocentric collaboration label, and is the co-founder of Coymix. All labels aim to promote contemporary electronic music without genre boundaries and serve as natural extensions of his long-running podcast series, Deeprhythms.com (est. 2001).

Behind its ramparts—built by order of Louis XIV to defend Marseille’s harbor—the Île Degaby shelters a military fort, named in honor of Admiral Costentin de Tourville. It retained its military purpose until the early 20th century, before being sold by the State to a Marseille industrialist. He gave it its current name, as a tribute to his mistress, the dancer Liane Degaby. The island has been the subject of countless dreams and unfinished projects, changing hands several times without ever truly opening itself to the people of Marseille. Until May 2024, when its pop-up bar and restaurant finally opened!

Madrid's F-on is a much beloved figure within the Spanish scene, known for his elegant all-vinyl sets and curation behind the brilliant Alpenglühen label among so much more. We stayed in touch after his particularly beautiful set at 2017’s Paral·lel Festival, and I've been looking forward to one day sharing this episode of the series since. Alfonso’s mix is uncanny in its precision and demonstrates a prowess behind the decks that few can match, a soft palette built through veteran and timeless selection. Two hours in and out of focus like rippling dust through which the flow of time slows, a stasis in the stream. Thanks Alfonso!

Those of you paying attention (or even those of you with your fingers in your ears - we've been shouting about it for months now!) will have heard our ninth release on Ransom Note Records - the magnificent summertime afrobeats smash hit 'I Like Your Girlfriend' by Bryte and Gafacci. This Ghanaian word-of-mouth classic has been knocking about as a poor quality video rip for a while now, but we're ensuring it finally gets the 12" release it deserves.

When we started thinking about remix duties, we knew we had to get our brother Bawrut to step up to the plate for this one, and of course he didn't disappoint. His triumphant, tropical acid rework is centred on a funky bassline which slithers around Bryte's catchy vocals. Everything we love all in one place.
