For Sessions 12, I tapped one of LA’s finest selectors, kindred spirit Luke Mele.

Luke delivers a 2.5+ hour marathon — a morning-time sipper that eases into an afternoon dance delight. It’s a lush journey through summertime spiritual jazz, fusion, soul, and disco, all pulled from crates at the iconic Last Bookstore in downtown LA.
~
Over the years, Luke has spent time digging at the shop, which he says holds a very special meaning to him. Hence the name of the mix: “Fifth and Spring.”

JAZZVE is a wordplay with jazz. Jazz is concentrated dark matter and energy of the sound, which broke out, literally exploded in the beginning of XX century, giving birth to the whole universe of contemporary music. 
Trying to understand and realize this entropical vibration and groove, surfing on the crest of this unrestrained expansion of sound waves - the main idea of the project. 
Actually, no: we just share the good music produced by our mates. This time we invited the trinity of russian producers to create some special sunny and fresh mood of spring. Hope you will enjoy it.

MuteNoise - Northern Lights

Secret Crunch is a label fresh out of the oven run by fellow Vienna-based artists Roman Rauch and Moony Me. 
Both musically rooted in HipHop, Soul, Funk and Disco and expressing themselves mainly through House Music, it was just a matter of time until they first collaborated together. Thoughts about releasing their output together through an own label came naturally soon after.
The first release of Secret Crunch is a pure collaboration between them plus two additional remixes – one by Gnork and this one by Medlar & Ishmael.

Bunch Of Crunch EP

The community spirit was strong as they crowded the streets. They had arrived on mass to protest against the changes which had been forced upon the kingdom of Acapulco. This place may of seemed like simply a city to some but it was in fact so much more. It was an entity, a paradise in its own right. There was a beach, a stretch of land and the sun kissed climate of euphoria. It was heaven on earth and they would fight for its very survival. The drums banged and the beat went on. 

BXP is the second artist to release on RA-1. He delivers two intriguing versions of a track titled 'Acapulco'. This is then followed by two seperately enchanting remixes from none other than D'Marc Cantu.

Fine Records is the collaborative product of Johannnes Albert (for Frank Music fame) and klamauk's Tilman. While the first release saw the producers joining forces, the second drop was a solo release from Tilman. For the third EP, Dancefloors & You & You, it is the Berlin-based Johannes' turn at the helm, and it is our pleasure to present to you the first cut off the record.

Johannes is no stranger to employing looped discofunk samples in his productions, and "All Around" certainly fits this mold.  The track builds on a heavy disco style kick / clap and layered percussion and a funky bassline. As the lead, an irresistible postdisco era sample repeats and rises to a filtered climax. The female lead vocals of the original are slightly teased in here a la Tiger & Woods before dropping back into the main groove. It's a sweet, feel good disco house track that's certain to motivate dancefloors.
